Words in Righteousness - Proverbs 8:8

In the book of Proverbs Solomon said, “O you simple, understand wisdom: and, you fools, be you of an understanding heart. Hear; for I will speak of excellent things; and the opening of my lips shall be right things. For my mouth shall speak truth; and wickedness is an abomination to my lips”, and in chapter eight and verse eight of Proverbs Solomon said, “all the words of my mouth are in righteousness” where we read,

All the words of my mouth are in righteousness; there is nothing froward or perverse in them.

The verse begins, “All the words of my mouth are in righteousness;. Solomon began with the words, “all the words” or “each, every, the whole and everyone of the utterances, speeches, sayings, promises and commands” of my mouth which means “pertaining to my, Solomon personifying wisdom's, orifice in the face used for eating, drinking and speaking” “are in righteousness” or “exist in a state of justice, deliverance, victory and prosperity”. Solomon shared how everyone of the utterances from God's “wisdom” exists as just, victorious and prosperous.

The verse continues, there is nothing froward or perverse in them.” Solomon added the words, “there is nothing froward” or “there exists not one thing twisted, tortuous or morally unsavory” “or perverse” which means “or twisted, distorted, crooked or perverted” “in them” or “within the words of God's wisdom”. Solomon said nothing “twisted or perverted” exists within the “words of God's wisdom”.

When we think through the words in this verse, we learn through Solomon how everyone of God's utterances and declarations are spoken in a just and right manner, and there is not one twisted or perverted declaration among them. God is pure. God is just, and God is righteous. He is without sin, and there exists no darkness at all within Him. (See 1 John 1:5) When He speaks, He speaks the truth, and righteousness flows from Him. His desire is to have a personal relationship with us through His Son Jesus who died on the cross for our sins. We will never be righteous on our own, and when we surrender our lives to Him, He will forgive our sins, grant us everlasting life and speak His “wisdom” into our hearts and lives so we may live in a just, right and prosperous manner before His eyes.

Next time Solomon says his words are, “plain to him that understands”, so read ahead, and we shall join together then.
