In the book of Zechariah, Zechariah said about going to worship in Jerusalem, “in that day shall there be upon the bells of the horses, HOLINESS UNTO THE LORD; and the pots in the LORD'S house shall be like the bowls before the altar”, and in chapter fourteen and verse twenty-one of Zechariah, Zechariah said, “every pot in Jerusalem and in Judah shall be holiness unto the LORD of hosts” where we read,
Yes, every pot in Jerusalem and in Judah shall be holiness unto the LORD of hosts: and all they that sacrifice shall come and take of them, and seethe therein: and in that day there shall be no more the Canaanite in the house of the LORD of hosts.
The verse reads, “Yes, every pot in Jerusalem and in Judah shall be holiness unto the LORD of hosts:” Zechariah began with the words, “yes, every pot in Jerusalem” or “even so and indeed, each, all, the whole and everyone of the boiling caldrons, fishhooks or utensils within Jerusalem whose name means teaching of peace and is the chief city of Palestine and capital of the united kingdom and the nation of Judah after the split” “and in Judah” which means “and within Judah whose name means praised and is the kingdom comprised of the tribes of Judah and Benjamin which occupied the southern part of Canaan after the nation split upon the death of Solomon” “shall be holiness” or “will exist as apartness, sacredness and separateness” “unto the LORD of hosts” which means “toward Jehovah who is the existing One and the proper name for the One True God who is over the spiritual army of angels and warriors”. Zechariah shared how every one of the boiling or cooking caldrons within “Jerusalem and Judah” will exist as the sacredness of Jehovah God who rules over angel armies.
The verse goes on to say, “and all they that sacrifice shall come and take of them, and seethe therein:” Zechariah continued with the words, “and all they that sacrifice” or “and each, every, the whole and everyone of the people who slaughter, kill and offer” “shall come and take of them” which means “will enter, attain and be enumerated, seize, lay hold of and acquire of them, the boiling caldrons”, “and seethe therein” or “and boil, cook, bake and roast within the sacred pots”. Zechariah shared how every person who makes an offering will attain and lay hold of the “pots” to boil and cook within them.
Finally the verse says, “and in that day there shall be no more the Canaanite in the house of the LORD of hosts.” Zechariah concluded this verse with the words, “and in that day” which means “and within that time period or season” “there shall be no more the Canaanite” or “there shall exist not any longer the Canaanite whose name means zealous and was a name for the descendants of the inhabitants of Canaan” “in the house” which means “within the dwelling place, abode and habitation” “of the LORD of hosts” or “belonging to Jehovah who is the existing One and the proper name for the One True God who is over the spiritual army of angels and warriors”. Zechariah ended this verse by sharing how in the season when “every pot in Jerusalem and in Judah shall be holiness unto the LORD of hosts: and all they that sacrifice shall come and take of them, and seethe therein”, there will not exist any “Canaanite” people within the dwelling place of Jehovah God who rules over the angel armies.
When we meditate upon the words in this verse, we learn through Zechariah how all the cooking vessels in “Jerusalem and Judah” will be considered as “Holy” to Jehovah God who rules over the angel armies, and the people will go to the place of worship and use the caldrons to roast and bake within them. No one from “Canaan” will be within the dwelling place of Jehovah God. God loves people, and He offers His salvation from sin to everyone through His Son Jesus who died on the cross for the sins of all mankind. When we believe and trust in Him as our “Savior and Lord”, He will forgive our sins, grant us everlasting life and put within us an understanding through His Holy Spirit about sacred worship of Him that shall allow us to give Him homage and adoration for all eternity without unbelieving people.
Next time we begin a new book, the book of Ezra, where Ezra shares about, “the first year of Cyrus king of Persia”, so read ahead, and we shall join together then.
