The LORD is Known by the Judgment - Psalms 9:16

In Psalms chapter nine David said, “The heathen are sunk down in the pit that they made: in the net which they hid is their own foot taken”, and in chapter nine and verse sixteen of Psalms David said, “The LORD is known by the judgment which he executes” where we read,

The LORD is known by the judgment which he executes:

the wicked is snared in the work of his own hands. Higgaion. Selah.

The verse begins, The LORD is known by the judgment which he executes:” David began with the words, “The LORD” which means “Jehovah who is the existing One and the proper name for the One True God” “is known by the judgment” or “exists as learned, experienced and recognized through the process, procedure and litigation” “which he executes” which means “that he, Jehovah God, fashions, accomplishes and makes”. David shared how Jehovah God is experienced and recognized through the process and procedure He employs and accomplishes.

The verse continues, the wicked is snared in the work of his own hands. Higgaion. Selah.David added the words, “the wicked is snared” or “the guilty one, ungodly and morally wrong person is knocked, stricken and thrust down” “in the work” which means “within the labor, deeds and doings” “of his own hands” or “belonging to the wicked person's own physical hands”. “Higgaion” which means “resounding music, musing and meditation”. “Selah” or “lift up, exalt and pause to think about it”. David wrote how the “ungodly and morally wrong” person will be caught in their own labor and deeds. David ended this Psalm by desiring resounding and reflective music by which a person could pause and think about what he declared.

When we consider the words in this verse, we learn from David how Jehovah God is experienced and recognized. We need only to observe His process and procedure for litigation, and when we consider that He sent His Son Jesus into the world to die on the cross for the sins of all mankind, we know He is a God of love and grace. God desires to have a personal relationship with every person who will yield to His Son Jesus, and when they do, He will forgive their sins and grant them everlasting life with Him. However, He permits people who perform “evil deeds” to be caught by their own labors. As we meditate upon these things, let us crescendo in praise to God for His character and His judgment of those who oppose Him.

Next time David says, “The wicked shall be turned into hell”, so read ahead, and we shall join together then.
