The LORD Shall Endure Forever - Psalms 9:7

In Psalms chapter nine David referred to Jehovah God as he wrote, “you have maintained my right and my cause; you sat in the throne judging right. You have rebuked the heathen, you have destroyed the wicked, you have put out their name for ever and ever. O you enemy, destructions are come to a perpetual end: and you have destroyed cities; their memorial is perished with them”, and in chapter nine and verse seven of Psalms David said, “the LORD shall endure for ever” where we read,

But the LORD shall endure for ever: he has prepared his throne for judgment.

The verse begins, But the LORD shall endure for ever:” David began with the words, “But the LORD” which means “however, nonetheless, notwithstanding and moreover Jehovah who is the existing One and the proper name for the One True God” “shall endure for ever” or “will remain, dwell and abide perpetually, to antiquity and into continual existence”. David shared how Jehovah God will continually exist unto perpetuity.

The verse goes on to say,he has prepared his throne for judgment.David continued with the words, “he has prepared his throne” or “he, Jehovah God, has established, fixed and firmly secured his, Jehovah God's, seat of royal dignity, authority and power” “for judgment” which means “on behalf of justice, process, litigation and sentence”. David wrote how Jehovah God has “firmly secured” his seat of royal authority, justice and power.

When we consider the words in this verse, we see how David recognized the eternality of Jehovah God. Not only will God exist forever, but His seat of authority and justice will be employed to litigate the good and evil in the world. God desires to have a loving personal relationship with us through His Son Jesus, and when we submit to Him, He will forgive our sins and grant us eternal life with Him. God will last forever, and we will be with Him in eternity when we surrender to His Son Jesus. He will judge those who believe in Him and His Son Jesus for the works they have done (See Romans 14:10 ), and He will judge those who do not believe in Him in the “great white throne judgment” (See Revelation 20:11-15). Let us be among the wise and choose to receive Jesus and be granted the mercy, grace and salvation He offers through a relationship with Him.

Next time David says, “he shall judge the world in righteousness”, so read ahead, and we shall join together then.
