Psalms one hundred and three begins with the heading, “[[A Psalm of David.]]” which breaks down “A Psalm” or “a poem or melody set to notes” “of David” which means “belonging to David whose name means beloved and was the second king of Israel”, and in chapter one hundred three and verse one of Psalms David said, “Bless the LORD, O my soul” where we read,
Bless the LORD, O my soul: and all that is within me, bless his holy name.
The verse begins, “Bless the LORD, O my soul:” David began with the words, “Bless the LORD” or “kneel before, adore, praise and salute Jehovah who is the existing One and the proper name for the One True God”, “O my soul” which means “O my, David's, inner man, mind, will, desires, living being and seat of emotions and passions”. David instructed his own inner being, mind, heart and will to praise and adore Jehovah God.
The verse continues, “and all that is within me, bless his holy name.” David added the words, “and all that is within me” or “and each, every, the whole and everyone of the inner parts, middle and inside self of me, David”, “bless” which means “kneel before, adore, praise and salute” “his holy name” or “his, Jehovah God's, sacred, set apart and separated reputation, fame and glory”. David desired that everything inside of him adore, praise and salute Jehovah God's sacred and set apart fame, reputation and glory.
When we think through the words in this verse, we see how David encouraged himself to praise and adore Jehovah God with his entire being, and he added that he was to adore and praise Jehovah God's fame, reputation and glory. God is worthy to be praised, and regardless of what is going on in our lives, He deserves the adoration of our entire inner being. God loves people, and His desire is to have a personal relationship with everyone through His Son Jesus. When we yield our lives to Him as our “Savior and Lord”, He will forgive our sins, grant us everlasting life and grant us a position where we shall give Him honor, adoration and praise forever and ever in Heaven.
Next time David says, “forget not all his benefits”, so read ahead, and we shall join together then.
Until tomorrow…there is more…
