In Psalms one hundred and three David said, “The LORD executes righteousness and judgment for all that are oppressed”, and in chapter one hundred three and verse seven of Psalms David said, “He made known his ways unto Moses” where we read,
He made known his ways unto Moses, his acts unto the children of Israel.
The verse begins, “He made known his ways unto Moses, ...” David began with the words, “He made known his ways” or “He, Jehovah God, revealed and disclosed his, Jehovah God's, manner, path, journey and direction ” “unto Moses” which means “to Moses whose name means drawing out and was the prophet and lawgiver as well as the leader of the exodus”. David referred to the way Jehovah God disclosed His manner and direction to “Moses”. (See Exodus 19:8,20; 20:21 and 24:2-4)
The verse continues, “... his acts unto the children of Israel.” David added the words, “his acts” or “his, Jehovah God's, works, deeds and practices” “unto the children of Israel” which means “to the offspring and progeny belonging to Israel whose name means God prevails and was the name of the descendants and the nation of the descendants of Jacob”. David said Jehovah God revealed His works and deeds to the offspring of the people of “Israel”.
When we think through the words in this verse, we discover how the Psalmist referred to the way Jehovah God revealed His manner of living to “Moses” and showed the offspring of “Israel” His labors, works and deeds as they wandered through the wilderness. God desires to make His ways of living known to all who will receive His Son Jesus as their personal “Savior and Lord”. He sent Jesus into the world to die on the cross for the sins of all mankind, and when we yield our lives to Him, He will forgive our sins, grant us everlasting life and reveal Himself and His ways, deeds and workings in this life and the next.
Next time David says, “the LORD is merciful and gracious”, so read ahead, and we shall join together then.
Until tomorrow…there is more…
