Who Redeems Your Life - Psalms 103:4

In Psalms one hundred and three David said, “Bless the LORD, O my soul: and all that is within me, bless his holy name. Bless the LORD, O my soul, and forget not all his benefits. Who forgives all your iniquities; who heals all your diseases”, and in chapter one hundred three and verse four of Psalms David said, “Who redeems your life from destruction” where we read,

Who redeems your life from destruction; who crowns you with lovingkindness and tender mercies;

The verse begins, Who redeems your life from destruction; David began with the words, “who redeems your life” or “who, Jehovah God, acts as a kinsman-redeemer and avenger of your, David's and those reading his words', living being, sustenance and maintenance” “from destruction” which means “separate and apart from the pit, corruption, the ditch and the grave”. David said Jehovah God acts as a kinsman-redeemer to keep his and the people reading his words' living beings from corruption and the grave.

The verse goes on to say,who crowns you with lovingkindness and tender mercies; David continued with the words, “who crowns you” or “who, Jehovah God, surrounds, bestows and encircles you, the people reading and listening to David's words” “with lovingkindness” which means “by the means of goodness, kindness and faithfulness” “and tender mercies” or “and bowels of compassion”. David said Jehovah God surrounds and encircles those reading and listening to his words with goodness, kindness, faithfulness and bowels of compassion.

When we think through the words in this verse, we see how David wanted his readers and listeners to know that Jehovah God's Son Jesus acts as a “goel” or kinsman-redeemer for every person who believes and trusts in Him. God sent His Son Jesus to die on the cross to pay for the sins of the entire world, and when we surrender our lives to Him as our personal “Savior and Lord”, He will forgive our sins, grant us everlasting life and allow us to receive His goodness, kindness and compassion forever and ever.

Next time David says, “Who satisfies your mouth with good things”, so read ahead, and we shall join together then.
