In the book of Zechariah, Zechariah shared how Jehovah God said the people of Israel, “it shall be in that day, that living waters shall go out from Jerusalem; half of them toward the former sea, and half of them toward the hinder sea: in summer and in winter shall it be”, and in chapter fourteen and verse nine of Zechariah, Zechariah said, “the LORD shall be king over all the earth” where we read,
And the LORD shall be king over all the earth:
in that day shall there be one LORD, and his name one.
The verse reads, “And the LORD shall be king over all the earth:” Zechariah began with the words, “and the LORD” or “and Jehovah who is the existing One and the proper name for the One True God” “shall be king” which means “will exist as royal leader and ruler” “over all the earth” or “above each, every portion and location within the country, land, region, district and world”. Zechariah shared how Jehovah God will exist as the royal ruler over every part of the world.
The verse continues, “in that day shall there be one LORD, and his name one.” Zechariah added the words, “in that day”or “within that time period or season” “shall there be one LORD” which means “will there exist only Jehovah God who is the existing One and the proper name for the One True God”, “and his name one” or “and his, Jehovah God's, fame, reputation and glory exists as singular”. Zechariah shared how within that period of time only Jehovah God shall exist, and only His fame, reputation and glory will be sustained.
When we consider the words in this verse, we discover through Zechariah how Jehovah God will rule and reign over all the world. His fame, reputation and glory alone will be worshiped. (See Revelation 11:15) God wants every person to have a personal relationship with Him through His Son Jesus who died on the cross for the sins of all mankind. When we yield our lives to Him, He will forgive our sins, grant us everlasting life and put within us and understanding through His Holy Spirit that He alone is worthy of our worship and praise.
Next time Zechariah says, “all the land shall be turned as a plain”, so read ahead, and we shall join together then.
Until tomorrow…there is more…
