In Psalms one hundred and three David said, “Like as a father pities his children, so the LORD pities them that fear him”, and in chapter one hundred three and verse fourteen of Psalms David said Jehovah God, “knows our frame” where we read,
For he knows our frame; he remembers that we are dust.
The verse begins, “For he knows our frame;” David began with the words, “for he knows” or “because, since and on account that he, Jehovah God, perceives, discerns, discriminates and distinguishes” “our frame” which means “our, David and his people's, form, purpose, imagination, mind and work”. David said Jehovah God “pities” him and his people because he is well aware of their form, purpose, mind and imagination.
The verse goes on to say, “he remembers that we are dust.” David continued with the words, “he remembers” or “he, Jehovah God, recalls, brings to mind and makes record” “that we are dust” which means “that we, David and his people, exist as powder, ashes, ground, mortar and rubbish”. David said Jehovah God calls to mind that he and his people exist as ground rubbish and powder.
When we consider the words in this verse, we see how David declared that Jehovah God was well aware of his and his people's form and purpose, and he calls to mind that David and his people existed as ground rubbish. Though this is true, God loves all people. He wants to have an intimate, personal relationship with us. He sent His Son Jesus into the world to die on the cross for the sins of all mankind, and when we believe and trust in Jesus as our “Savior and Lord”, He will forgive our sins, cleanse us from all unrighteousness and constantly affirm that even though “we are dust”, He cares for us deeply.
Next time David says, “As for man, his days are as grass”, so read ahead, and we shall join together then.
Until tomorrow…there is more…
