Pull Me Out of the Net - Psalms 31:4

In Psalms chapter thirty one David said, “In you, O LORD, do I put my trust; let me never be ashamed: deliver me in your righteousness. Bow down your ear to me; deliver me speedily: be you my strong rock, for an house of defense to save me. For you are my rock and my fortress; therefore for your name's sake lead me, and guide me”, and in chapter thirty one and verse four of Psalms David said to Jehovah, “Pull me out of the net that they have laid privily for me” where we read,

Pull me out of the net that they have laid privily for me: for you are my strength.

The verse begins, Pull me out of the net that they have laid privily for me:” David began with the words, “Pull me” which means “lead and deliver me, David” “out of the net” or “from the snare or trap” “that they have laid privily” which means “that David's enemies concealed and made secret” “for me” or “on behalf of and toward me, David”. David appealed to Jehovah God to deliver him from the secret trap that his enemies' had set for him.

The verse goes on to say,for you are my strength. David continued with the words, “for you” or “because, since and on account that you, Jehovah God” “are my strength” which means “exist as my, David's, place or means of safety, protection, refuge and stronghold”. David declared Jehovah God to be his protection, refuge and stronghold.

When we meditate upon the words in this verse, we see David's appeal to Jehovah God to rescue him from the secret snare his enemy set for him, and he knew that Jehovah was his true protection and refuge. Anyone who has a personal relationship with Jehovah God through His Son Jesus will find Him to be their protector and provider, and He is always with them in their times of adversity. God wants us to believe and trust in His Son Jesus as our “Savior and Lord”, and that is why He sent Jesus to the world to die for the sins of mankind. When we surrender to Jesus, He will forgive our sins, grant us everlasting life with Him and continue to be our protection and provider throughout all eternity.

Next time David says to Jehovah, Into your hand I commit my spirit, so read ahead, and we shall join together then.

Until tomorrow…there is more…
