The Shut Shut Shut it Up List

Does anyone know anyone else who knows everything and yet does absolutely nothing except tell everybody about how they know everything? Has anyone ever been around the “know it all” who no matter what the subject is, they can tell the most about it as though they have been trained to the nth degree? Is there anyone out there who has been around the tone deaf person who sings to the top of his or her lungs and believes that the world should recognize them for their tremendous talent? Is there someone out there who believes that some of these people should be on “the list” as one friend used to call it, “The Shut, Shut, Shut it up List?” But of course, it could be, it might be that the writer is the only one who takes notice and asks the questions of these “notables”, “So, how should this apply?”

It is certain that there are many who “darken counsel by words without knowledge”, but many of them do not know it. Many just continue along sometimes for years before anyone says anything to them that might make them stop and think for just a moment. However, how does one go to another, especially if they are a singer or performer and say, “I'm sorry, but you cannot play or sing a lick!” Of course, there is “Simon” who has no problem with that, and then again, even “Simon” might need someone to give him the heads up that he is one of the most pompous individuals in the world!

Maybe there should be a “Shut, shut, shut it up list,” but then again, it is much easier to be the one who places others on that list than to be on it oneself. Maybe the mantra for the day should be, “Shh...there are others who do not want to hear how much you think you know or how good you think you can sing, or how great you are, or..................maybe the writer should be quiet now.
