“They” said he would never be able to make it as an actor. “He couldn't even speak good English” was their rant, and “No one will ever remember a name like Schwarzenegger”. But then, not only did he make movie after movie, he became the Governor of California. She was ridiculed by four female fellow student in her high school, and they told her she would amount to nothing, until Kirstie Alley held up the academy award and named every one of them as to show them. Over and over again it seems that “rejection” is just part of the course for success. It seems that along the pathway to making it large, a person must endure the nay-Sayers and ne'er-do-wells that chime in their rants and impediments as one walks, but remember this, “every no is one step closer to a yes”.
“You can't do that. You'll never do this. You are dreaming or having pipe dreams” are just a few of the catcalls one might endure. “You'll never amount to anything. You're just a loser. You, you you...” fills the mouths of the negative beings who line the way to being successful. The tenacious person continues through the rejection and rants, and he or she doesn't allow the false cheers to alter their steps. When the “no's” are verbalized, dogged determination prevails, and nothing shall hinder. They must be about their business, and regardless of acceptance or not, they will continue.
Look for the “Nos”. They are out there looming, and many of them come from the closest of sources. When they appear or become known, keep in mind the goal that must be achieved, and never allow those external hindrances to become voices that prevail on the inside.
