In Psalms one hundred and three David said, “Bless the LORD, O my soul: and all that is within me, bless his holy name. Bless the LORD, O my soul, and forget not all his benefits”, and in chapter one hundred three and verse three of Psalms David said, “Who forgives all your iniquities” where we read,
Who forgives all your iniquities; who heals all your diseases;
The verse begins, “Who forgives all your iniquities;” David began with the words, “who forgives” or “who, Jehovah God, spares and pardons” “all your iniquities” which means “each, every, the whole and everyone of your, David and his people's, perversities, depravities and consequences of or punishment for mischief and sin”. David referred to how Jehovah God pardons every one of his and his people's perversities and sins.
The verse continues, “who heals all your diseases;” David added the words, “who heals” or “who, Jehovah God, makes healthy, mends, cures and repairs” “all your diseases” which means “each, every, the whole and everyone of your, David and his people's, maladies and grievous sicknesses”. David said Jehovah God cures and mends every one of his and his people's maladies and sicknesses.
When we meditate upon the words in this verse, we discover how David recalled the way Jehovah God not only pardons errors and wrongs, but also cures sicknesses. In other words, God took care of David and his people, and He will do the same for every person who has a personal relationship with Him through His Son Jesus. He sent Jesus into the world to die on the cross for the sins of all mankind, and when we yield our lives to Him, He will forgive our sins, grant us everlasting life and cure our sicknesses whenever they arise according to His Divine will and purposes.
Next time David says, “Who redeems your life from destruction”, so read ahead, and we shall join together then.
Until tomorrow…there is more…
