Three Unclean Spirits Like Frogs Revelation 16:13

As John continued to share concerning the events during the tribulation, He wrote about the antichrist, the false prophet and the angels who were involved in the reaping of the harvest of believers who received the Lord Jesus during that time. John wrote about the first, second, third and fourth angel and what happened when they poured out their “vials”, and he continued by writing, “And the fifth angel poured out his vial upon the seat of the beast; and his kingdom was full of darkness; and they gnawed their tongues for pain. And blasphemed the God of heaven because of their pains and their sores, and repented not of their deeds. And the sixth angel poured out his vial upon the great river Euphrates; and the water thereof was dried up, that the way of the kings of the east might be prepared”, and in chapter sixteen and verse thirteen of Revelation John shared how he “saw three unclean spirits like frogs come out of the mouth of the dragon” where we read:

And I saw three unclean spirits like frogs come out of the mouth of the dragon,
and out of the mouth of the beast, and out of the mouth of the false prophet.

The verse reads, And I saw three unclean spirits like frogs come out of the mouth of the dragon, ... John began with the words, “and I saw” which means “and John perceived, noticed, discerned and discovered” “three unclean spirits” or “three not cleansed, impure, morally lewd, demonic and foul demons” “like frogs” which means “similar looking to frogs” “come out” or “proceed from and away” “of the mouth” which means “of the orifice in the face used for eating, drinking and speech” “of the dragon” which refers to “pertaining to the great serpent which is a name for Satan”. John watched as “three” demons that appeared like “frogs” proceeded from the “mouth” of Satan.

The verse goes on to say, “and out of the mouth of the beast, and out of the mouth of the false prophet. John added the words, “and out of the mouth” which means “from the orifice in the face used for eating, drinking and speaking” “of the beast” or “the wild and ferocious being which represents the antichrist”, “and out of the mouth” which means “and from the orifice in the face used for eating, drinking and speaking” “of the false prophet” which refers to “the second living creature mentioned in Revelation chapter thirteen who was the spokesman for the antichrist”. These demons also came from the “mouths” of the “antichrist” and his “false prophet”.

When we meditate upon John's words in this verse, we can imagine what a scene this was in the spiritual world as he watched “three” frog-like “demons” come from “Satan, the antichrist and the false prophet”. No doubt these “demons” are powerful and were employed for a specific purpose. God has control over all these “spiritual beings”, and though they will go about their business for a certain time according to God's plan, they shall not overcome the person who has a personal relationship with God through His Son Jesus Christ. “Satan, the antichrist, the false prophets” and even these “three frog-like demons” shall not have dominion over those who have yielded their lives to Jesus, therefore may all who read these words submit themselves to Jesus today.

Next time John shares how the “unclean spirits like frogs”, “are the spirits of devils, working miracles, so read ahead, and we shall join together then.

The Sixth Angel Poured Out His Vial Revelation 16:12

As John continued to share concerning the events during the tribulation, He wrote about the antichrist, the false prophet and the angels who were involved in the reaping of the harvest of believers who received the Lord Jesus during that time. John wrote about the first, second and third angel and what happened when they poured out their “vials”, and he continued by writing, “And the fourth angel poured out his vial upon the sun; and power was given unto him to scorch men with fire. And men were scorched with great heat, and blasphemed the name of God, which has power over these plagues: and they repented not to give him glory. And the fifth angel poured out his vial upon the seat of the beast; and his kingdom was full of darkness; and they gnawed their tongues for pain. And blasphemed the God of heaven because of their pains and their sores, and repented not of their deeds.” In chapter sixteen and verse twelve of Revelation John shared what happened when “the sixth angel poured out his vial” where we read:

And the sixth angel poured out his vial upon the great river Euphrates;
and the water thereof was dried up, that the way of the kings of the east might be prepared.

The verse reads, And the sixth angel poured out his vial upon the great river Euphrates; John began with the words, “and the sixth angel” which means “and the sixth messenger, envoy or one sent” “poured out” or “shed forth, bestowed and distributed largely” “his vial” which means “his shallow bowl filled with the wrath of God” “upon the great river” or “on the large, abundant and massive flowing torrent or stream” “Euphrates” which refers to “a large, famous river which rises in the mountains of Armenia Major, flows through Assyria, Syria, Mesopotamia and the city of Babylon and empties into the Gulf of Persia. It's name means “the good and abounding river”. John watched as this “sixth messenger” from God “distributed” his “shallow bowl of God's wrath” upon the “Euphrates” river.

The verse continues, “and the water thereof was dried up, that the way of the kings of the east might be prepared. John added the words, “and the water” which refers to “the flowing waters as from rain” “thereof” or “within the river Euphrates” “was dried up” which means “became withered or wasted and pined away”, “that the way” or “so the journey or course for travelers” “of the kings” which refers to “the leaders, princes, commanders and lords” “of the east” or “from the rising of the sun and stars” “might be prepared” which means “would be provided and made ready”. John saw how the drying of the “waters” from the “river Euphrates” would become a passageway for leaders from the “east” to travel.

When we consider John's words in this verse, we see the effect of this “sixth angel's” distribution of his “vial”. This time the “river Euphrates” will be the target, and the result of this action will be to dry the “waters” of that river so amply that the “kings” of the “eastern countries” will be able to use it for a road of travel. In other words, it will be a great provision for “war”. God does not desire for people to suffer in the manner that is to be within this tribulation period, and He has given His Son Jesus not only to “save” people from this time, but also to “save” them for all of eternity. Be assured, this “river Euphrates” shall be “dried up”, and the kings of the east will use it. However, those reading these words will never have to experience these things if they will only submit their lives to Jesus today. May all who read take heed.

People Blaspheming God Revelation 16:11

As John continued to share concerning the events during the tribulation, He wrote about the antichrist, the false prophet and the angels who were involved in the reaping of the harvest of believers who received the Lord Jesus during that time. John wrote about the first, second and third angel and what happened when they poured out their “vials”, and he continued, “And the fourth angel poured out his vial upon the sun; and power was given unto him to scorch men with fire And men were scorched with great heat, and blasphemed the name of God, which has power over these plagues: and they repented not to give him glory. And the fifth angel poured out his vial upon the seat of the beast; and his kingdom was full of darkness; and they gnawed their tongues for pain”, and in chapter sixteen and verse eleven of Revelation John shared how people “blasphemed the God of heaven because of their pains and their sores” where we read:

And blasphemed the God of heaven because of their pains and their sores,
and repented not of their deeds.

The verse reads, And blasphemed the God of heaven because of their pains and their sores, ... John began with the words, “and blasphemed” which means “and spoke reproachfully and evil, railed at, calumniated” “the God” or “the Godhead and trinity which is comprised of God the Father, Christ the Son and the Holy Spirit” “of heaven” which means “the region above the sidereal heavens, the seat of order of things eternal and consummately perfect where God dwells and other heavenly beings” “because of” or “since they experienced” “their pains” which refers to “the people of the earth's great trouble, intense desire, toil and anguish “and their sores” or “and the wounds producing a discharging pus or an ulcer”. John shared how the people upon the earth “spoke reproachfully” against God because they were suffering so much “pain” from their “oozing ulcers”.

The verse goes on to say, “ and repented not of their deeds. John added the words, “and repented not” which means “and did not turn away from, change their minds about or heartily amend with abhorrence” “of their deeds” or “from their wicked and evil business, employment, acts or whatever they undertook to do”. Even though they suffer so greatly, people will not “change their ways” or altar their “actions”.

When we think through John's words in this verse, we marvel at the stubbornness within this suffering group of people. Rather than turn to God from their evil ways, they choose to “revile” Him instead. God wants a relationship with every person through His Son Jesus Christ who said, If any man will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow me” (Matthew 16:24), and the first step is “humility”. These people are so prideful that no matter what happens to them, they blame God, and they forfeit a relationship with Him because of it.

The Fifth Angel's Vial Revelation 16:10

As John continued to share concerning the events during the tribulation, He wrote about the antichrist, the false prophet and the angels who were involved in the reaping of the harvest of believers who received the Lord Jesus during that time. John wrote about the first, second and third angel and what happened when they poured out their “vials” filled with the “wrath of God”, and he continued by writing, “And the fourth angel poured out his vial upon the sun; and power was given unto him to scorch men with fire And men were scorched with great heat, and blasphemed the name of God, which has power over these plagues: and they repented not to give him glory”. In chapter sixteen and verse ten of Revelation John saw what happened when “the fifth angel poured out his vial upon the seat of the beast” where we read:

And the fifth angel poured out his vial upon the seat of the beast; and his kingdom was full of darkness; and they gnawed their tongues for pain,

The verse reads, And the fifth angel poured out his vial upon the seat of the beast; John began with the words, “and the fifth angel” which means “and the fifth messenger, envoy and one sent” “poured out” or “shed forth, bestowed and distributed largely” “his vial” which means “his shallow bowl filled with the wrath of God” “upon the seat” or “on the throne or chair having a footstool which shows kingly power or royalty” “of the beast” which refers to “belonging to the savage and ferocious being known as the antichrist”. John watched as this “fifth angel” distributed his “vial” upon the “throne” of the antichrist.

The verse continues, “and his kingdom was full of darkness; and they gnawed their tongues for pain.” John added the words, “and his kingdom” which means “and the antichrist's royal power, dominion and rule” “was full” or “was filled completely and thoroughly” “of darkness” which means “with obscurity and blindness”; “and they gnawed” or “and the people within the antichrist's kingdom chewed” “their tongues” or “the tongues in their mouths” “for pain” which means “because of the great trouble, intense desire, toil and anguish”. John watched as the “kingdom” of the antichrist becomes so “dark” that the people within it will “chew” their tongues because of the “pain” they endure.

When we meditate upon John's words in this verse, we see God's retaliation upon the “antichrist” who will lead so many people away from a relationship with Him. People will be fooled by this “evil” man, and instead of “worshiping” God, they will “worship” the “antichrist” instead. When the “darkness” comes upon the antichrist's “kingdom”, the horror and “pain” of it shall make people “gnaw” their own tongues. God desires to “save” people from this atrocious time, and this is accomplished by receiving His Son Jesus as a personal “Savior and Lord”. Those who are wise and warned shall accept Jesus today and never know the troubles that are destined for this tribulation time.

Men Scorched with Heat and Still Blaspheming God Revelation 16:9

As John continued to share concerning the events during the tribulation, He wrote about the antichrist, the false prophet and the angels who were involved in the reaping of the harvest of believers who received the Lord Jesus during that time. John shared about first two “angels” who “poured out” their “vials” full of the “wrath of God” upon the “earth and the sea”, and he wrote, And the third angel poured out his vial upon the rivers and fountains of waters; and they became blood. And I heard the angel of the waters say, you are righteous, O Lord, which are, and was, and shall be, because you have judged thus. For they have shed the blood of saints and prophets, and you have given them blood to drink; for they are worthy. And I heard another out of the altar say, Even so, Lord God Almighty, true and righteous are your judgments. And the fourth angel poured out his vial upon the sun; and power was given unto him to scorch men with fire.”, and in chapter sixteen and verse nine of Revelation John saw what happened when “men were scorched with great heat, and blasphemed the name of God” where we read:

And men were scorched with great heat, and blasphemed the name of God,
which has power over these plagues: and they repented not to give him glory.

The verse reads, And men were scorched with great heat, and blasphemed the name of God, ... John began with the words, “and men” which means “and people both male and female” “were scorched” or “were burned and tortured” “with great heat” which means “with painful massive, abundant and abounding burning and torture”, “and blasphemed” or “spoke evil and reproachfully, railed at, reviled and calumniated” “the name” which refers to “everything the thought or feeling of which is aroused in the mind by mentioning, hearing and remembering” “of God” or “the Godhead bodily and trinity which is comprised of God the Father, Christ the Son and the Holy Spirit”. John watched as people were “burned and tortured” with “intense heat”, and their reaction was to “speak evil and reproachfully” against God.

The verse goes on to say, “... which has power over these plagues: and they repented not to give him glory. John added the words, “which has power” which means “who has ability, strength, authority and right” “over these plagues” or “on, at, across and against these blows, stripes, wounds, public calamities and heavy afflictions”: “and they repented not” which means “and the people who were afflicted with torturous heat did not change their minds, think differently, reconsider or feel moral compunction” “to give him” which refers to “to grant, bestow, furnish or supply God with” “glory” or “honor, splendor, brightness, preeminence and majesty”. Though God has “all power” over these “heavy afflictions” which will come upon the people living during the tribulation, they still do not turn from their “wicked and evil ways” to worship Him.

When we consider John's words in this verse, we may marvel at the reaction of these people who were being “burned with intense heat”. Why they will react in such a confrontational manner is just a mystery even as they have been told that God has power over all these “plagues” that have come upon them. God desires to have a relationship with people through His Son Jesus, and when they receive Him as “Savior and Lord”, they will not posture themselves so rebelliously against God. Let all who read these words know this “intense heat and scorching” will be, and God is in control of it all. Repent today before these things come to pass.

Next time John shares what happened when “the fifth angel poured out his vial, so read ahead, and we shall join together then.
