Remember God's Marvelous Works Psalms 105:5

In Psalms one hundred five the Psalmist said, “Seek the LORD, and his strength: seek his face evermore”, and in chapter one hundred five and verse five of Psalms the Psalmist said, “remember his marvelous works” where we read,

Remember his marvelous works that he has done; his wonders, and the judgments of his mouth;

The verse begins, Remember his marvelous works that he has done; The Psalmist began with the words, “Remember his marvelous works” or “bring to remembrance and call to mind, his, Jehovah God's, wonderful, surpassing and extraordinary acts, deeds and labors” “that he has done” which means “that he, Jehovah God, has performed, fashioned, accomplished and worked”. The Psalmist instructed his readers and listeners to call to mind the wonderful and extraordinary acts and deeds that Jehovah God has performed.

The verse continues, his wonders, and the judgments of his mouth; The Psalmist added the words, “his wonders” or “his, Jehovah God's, signs, tokens and miracles”, “and the judgments” which means “and the ordinances, acts of deciding, procedure and litigation” “of his mouth” or “belonging to his, Jehovah God, orifice in the face used for speaking”. The Psalmist encouraged his readers and listeners to also call to mind Jehovah God's miracles, signs, ordinances and procedures that proceed from His “mouth”.

When we meditate upon the words in this verse, we see how the Psalmist continued to instruct those listening to and reading his words to call to mind the wonderful acts and deeds Jehovah God has performed and to be reminded of God's miracles and procedures which proceed from His “mouth”. God is wonderful, and He is worthy of our praise. We should constantly be reminded of who God is and what He has done. He sent His Son Jesus into the world to die on the cross for the sins of all mankind, and when we yield our lives to Him as our personal “Savior and Lord”, He will forgive our sins, grant us everlasting life and continually remind us of who He is, what He has done and how much He desires to have an intimate relationship with us.

Seek the LORD and His Strength - Psalms 105:4

In Psalms one hundred five the Psalmist said, “O give thanks unto the LORD; call upon his name: make known his deeds among the people. Sing unto him, sing psalms unto him: talk you of all his wondrous works. Glory you in his holy name: let the heart of them rejoice that seek the LORD”, and in chapter one hundred five and verse four of Psalms the Psalmist said, “Seek the LORD, and his strength” where we read,

Seek the LORD, and his strength: seek his face evermore.

The verse begins, Seek the LORD, and his strength: The Psalmist began with the words, “Seek the LORD” or “resort to, inquire of, consult and frequent Jehovah who is the existing One and the proper name for the One True God in prayer and worship”, “and his strength” which means “and his, Jehovah God's power, might and ability”. The Psalmist exhorted his readers and listeners to inquire of and resort to Jehovah God and His power, might and ability.

The verse goes on to say, seek his face evermore. The Psalmist continues with the words, “seek his face” or “resort to, inquire of, consult and frequent his, Jehovah God's, front, presence and countenance” “evermore” which means “continually, perpetually and constantly”. The Psalmist exhorted his readers and listeners to resort to and inquire of Jehovah God's countenance perpetually and continually.

When we consider the words in this verse, we see how the Psalmist instructed his readers and listeners to search for Jehovah God and His power and might, and they were to look for His countenance and presence perpetually. God wants us to “seek” Him, and Jesus Himself said, “Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and you shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you:” (See Matthew 7:7). God desires to have a personal relationship with everyone, and He sent His Son Jesus to be crucified on the cross for our sins. When we yield our lives to Him, He will forgive our sins, grant us everlasting life and allow us to be among those who search for Jehovah God, His power, ability and countenance continually.

Next time the Psalmist says, “remember his marvelous works”, so read ahead, and we shall join together then.

Glory in God's Holy Name - Psalms 105:3

In Psalms one hundred five the Psalmist said, “O give thanks unto the LORD; call upon his name: make known his deeds among the people. Sing unto him, sing psalms unto him: talk you of all his wondrous works”, and in chapter one hundred five and verse three of Psalms the Psalmist said, “Glory you in his holy name” where we read,

Glory you in his holy name: let the heart of them rejoice that seek the LORD.

The verse begins, Glory you in his holy name: The Psalmist began with the words, “glory you” or “people who are listening and reading the Psalmist's words, praise, boast and celebrate” “in his holy name” which means “within his, Jehovah God's, sacred, set apart and consecrated fame, reputation and glory”. The Psalmist exhorted his readers and listeners to boast and celebrate Jehovah God's sacred and set apart reputation, fame and glory.

The verse continues, let the heart of them rejoice that seek the LORD. The Psalmist added the words, “let the heart of them” or “allow and permit the soul, mind, will, desires, living being and seat of emotions and passions” “rejoice” which means “be glad, cheerful and gleeful” “that seek the LORD” or “who search for, look, desire and exact of Jehovah who is the existing One and the proper name of the One True God”. The Psalmist encouraged the souls and wills of the people who searched for Jehovah God to be cheerful and glad.

When we think through the words in this verse, we see how the Psalmist continued to instruct those reading and listening to his words to celebrate Jehovah God's set apart and sacred fame, reputation and glory, and they were to permit their souls to be glad because they sought after Him. God wants us to give Him praise and glory, and when our souls and minds look for Him, He will bless us with cheerful and glad “hearts”. God loves us, and He proved it by sending His Son Jesus into the world to die in our place on the cross to pay the penalty of death for our sins. When we believe and trust in Jesus as our personal “Savior and Lord”, He will forgive our sins, grant us everlasting life and make our souls cheerful and glad as we honor Him for who He is and what He has done.

Sing Psalms Unto God - Psalms 105:2

In Psalms one hundred five the Psalmist said, “O give thanks unto the LORD; call upon his name: make known his deeds among the people”, and in chapter one hundred five and verse two of Psalms the Psalmist said, “Sing unto him, sing psalms unto him” where we read,

Sing unto him, sing psalms unto him: talk you of all his wondrous works.

The verse begins, Sing unto him, sing psalms unto him: The Psalmist began with the words, “sing unto him” or “make music with your voice toward him, Jehovah God”, “sing psalms unto him” which means “make music with your voice with musical instruments, pipes and poetry toward him, Jehovah God”. The Psalmist exhorted his readers and listeners to make poetic music with their voices and instruments toward Jehovah God.

The verse goes on to say, talk you of all his wondrous works. The Psalmist continued with the words, “talk you” or “all who are listening and reading these words speak forth, muse, commune and put forth thoughts” “of all his wondrous works” which means “about each, every, the whole and everyone of his, Jehovah God's, marvelous, surpassing, extraordinary and wonderful acts, labors and deeds”. The Psalmist instructed his readers and listeners to speak about each and every one of Jehovah God's wonderful and extraordinary acts and deeds.

When we meditate upon the words in this verse, we see how the Psalmist wanted his readers and listeners to make musical worship with their voices and instruments to Jehovah God. They were to tell others about God's wonderful and extraordinary acts and deeds to give them an idea of how marvelous God is. God wants us to be in a personal relationship with Him, and He made that possible by sending His Son Jesus into the world to die on the cross for the sins of all mankind. When we believe and trust in Jesus as our “Savior and Lord”, He will forgive our sins, grant us everlasting life and allow us to bless ourselves by blessing Him with praise, honor and glory that He is due for who He is and the marvelous works He does.

Next time the Psalmist says, “Glory you in his holy name”, so read ahead, and we shall join together then.

Give Thanks Unto the LORD - Psalms 105:1

In Psalms one hundred five the Psalmist said, “O give thanks unto the LORD”, and in chapter one hundred five and verse one of Psalms the Psalmist fully said,

O give thanks unto the LORD; call upon his name: make known his deeds among the people.

The verse begins, O give thanks unto the LORD; call upon his name: The Psalmist began with the words, “O give thanks” or “O throw, shoot, cast forth and confess laud, praise, reverence and worship” “unto the LORD” which means “to Jehovah who is the existing One and the proper name for the One True God”; “call upon his name” or “cry out, proclaim, summon and invite his, Jehovah God's, fame, reputation and glory”. The Psalmist instructed his readers and listeners to cast forth praise, reverence and worship to Jehovah God, and they were to cry out to His reputation, fame and glory.

The verse continues, make known his deeds among the people. The Psalmist added the words, “make known his deeds” or “acknowledge, confess and reveal his, Jehovah God's, practices, inventions and works” “among the people” which means “in the midst of the human beings both male and female”. The Psalmist exhorted his readers and listeners to acknowledge and reveal Jehovah God's acts and works in the midst of the “people” with whom they dwell.

When we consider the words in this verse, we see how the Psalmist wanted the people who were reading and listening to his words to praise Jehovah God, cry out to His reputation and reveal His acts and works to the other people around them. This behavior not only affects those who practice these things, but also those who hear them. God wants people to be blessed, and when He exhorts us through the scriptures, we should pay attention. God knows what is best for us, and He sent His Son Jesus into the world to die on the cross for our sins so we could have a close, intimate relationship with Him. When we yield ourselves to Jesus, He will forgive our sins, grant us everlasting life and encourage us to bless ourselves by pouring out praise unto Him.

Next time the Psalmist says, “Sing unto him, sing psalms unto him”, so read ahead, and we shall join together then.

Sinners Shall be Consumed - Psalms 104:35

In Psalms one hundred four the Psalmist said, “I will sing unto the LORD as long as I live: I will sing praise to my God while I have my being. My meditation of him shall be sweet: I will be glad in the LORD”, and in chapter one hundred four and verse thirty-five of Psalms the Psalmist said, “let the sinners be consumed out of the earth” where we read,

Let the sinners be consumed out of the earth, and let the wicked be no more.

Bless you the LORD, O my soul. Praise you the LORD.

The verse begins, Let the sinners be consumed out of the earth, and let the wicked be no more. The Psalmist began with the words, “let the sinners” or “allow and permit the people who are criminals, exposed to condemnation and reckoned as offenders” “be consumed” which means “be finished, complete, at an end and entirely consumed” “out of the earth” or “separate and apart from the land, ground, country, territory, region and world”, “and let the wicked” which means “and allow and permit the ungodly, guilty of crime and sins and condemned” “be no more” or “exist never again”. The Psalmist desired that people who violate Jehovah God's law be entirely consumed from the world, and that evil and ungodly people never exist again.

The verse goes on to say,Bless you the LORD, O my soul. Praise you the LORD. The Psalmist continued with the words, “Bless you the LORD” or “praise, salute and adore Jehovah who is the existing One and the proper name of the One True God”, “O my soul” which means “O, my, the Psalmist's, inner man, mind, heart, will, desires, living being and seat of emotions and passions”. “Praise you the LORD” or “shine forth, make a boast, commend, and glory in Jehovah who is the existing One and the proper name for the One True God”. The Psalmist exhorted himself to adore Jehovah God from his inner being and heart, and to give worship and adoration to Him.

When we think through the words in this verse, we see how the Psalmist concluded his words in this Psalm by directing his own attention toward Jehovah God. He wanted to worship and adore Him with His entire being, and anyone who begins to understand who He is will want to give Him honor, praise and glory that He is due. God sent His Son Jesus into the world to die on the cross for the sins of all mankind, and when we believe and trust in Him as our personal “Savior and Lord”, He will forgive our sins, grant us everlasting life and encourage us to give Him praise, honor and glory not only in this life but also in the eternal life to come.

Next time we begin a new chapter and see the Psalmist say, “O give thanks unto the LORD”, so read ahead, and we shall join together then.
