The Children of God's Servants Continue - Psalms 102:28

In Psalms one hundred and two the Psalmist said, “I said, O my God, take me not away in the midst of my days: your years are throughout all generations. Of old have you laid the foundation of the earth: and the heavens are the work of your hands, They shall perish, but you shall endure: yes, all of them shall wax old like a garment; as a vesture shall you change them, and they shall be changed. But you are the same, and your years shall have no end”, and in chapter one hundred two and verse twenty-eight of Psalms the Psalmist said, “the children of your servants shall continue” where we read,

The children of your servants shall continue, and their seed shall be established before you.

The verse begins, The children of your servants shall continue, ... The Psalmist began with the words, “the children” or “the offspring and progeny” “of your servants” which means “belonging to your, Jehovah God's, bondmen, men of servile condition and worshipers” “shall continue” or “will remain, abide and be caused to settle and dwell”. The Psalmist said the offspring of Jehovah God's bondmen and worshipers would also remain.

The verse goes on to say,... and their seed shall be established before you. The Psalmist continued with the words, “and their seed” or “and their, the children of the servants children” “shall be established” which means “will exist as firm, stable, fixed and secure” “before you” or “in front and in the presence of you, Jehovah God”. The Psalmist said the offspring of the children of the servants would also be fixed and secure in Jehovah God's presence.

When we meditate upon the words in this verse, we see how the Psalmist not only included the continuance of the children of Jehovah God's bondmen and worshipers, but also their children too. In other words, the worshipers of Jehovah God would go on and on from generation to generation. This is God's desire. Ever since the fall of man, (See Genesis 3) God has worked to redeem mankind from His failure and sins. He sent His Son Jesus into the world to die on the cross for the sins of all mankind, and when we believe and trust in Him as our “Savior and Lord”, He will forgive our sins, grant us everlasting life and allow us to live with Him forever and ever.

Next time we begin a new chapter and see David say, “Bless the LORD, O my soul”, so read ahead, and we shall join together then.
