The Wicked is Driven Away - Proverbs 14:32

In the book of Proverbs Solomon said, “He that oppresses the poor reproaches his Maker: but he that honors him has mercy on the poor”, and in chapter fourteen and verse thirty-two of Proverbs Solomon said, “the wicked is driven away in his wickedness” where we read,

The wicked is driven away in his wickedness: but the righteous has hope in his death.

The verse begins, “The wicked is driven away in his wickedness:” Solomon began with the words, “the wicked” or “the criminal, guilty of crimes, evil and hostile to God” “is driven away” which means “is pushed, chased, overflowing, tottering, outcast and thrust down” “in his wickedness” of “within the person whether male or female's bad, evil, disagreeableness, malignancy and unpleasantness”. Solomon shared how people who are evil and hostile to God are thrust down within their own malignancy and unpleasantness.

The verse goes on to say, “but the righteous has hope in his death.” Solomon continued with the words, “but the righteous” or “however, notwithstanding, nonetheless and moreover the person whether male or female who is right, just, correct and lawful” “has hope in his death” which means “holds, owns and possesses refuge, protection, trust and confidence within his, the person's, destruction, ruin and dying”. Solomon said people who are right and just possess refuge and confidence within their destruction and dying.

When we meditate upon the words in this verse, we discover through Solomon how people who are evil and hostile to God are thrust down within their bad and malignancy, however, people who are just and correct possess trust and confidence within their dying. Everyone will die, and because “the wages of sin is death” (See Romans 6:23), God sent His Son Jesus into the world to die on the cross for the sins of all mankind. When we yield to Him, He will forgive our sins, grant us everlasting life and help us by His Holy Spirit to live in a right, just and lawful manner that insures confidence that we shall forever be with Him.

Next time Solomon says, “wisdom rests in the heart of him that has understanding”, so read ahead, and we shall join together then.
