A Kingdom which Cannot be Moved Hebrews 12:28

Yet once more” according to the writer of Hebrews as he referred to God's word, “signifies the removing of those things that are shaken” so “that those things which cannot be shaken may remain”. In chapter twelve and verse twenty-eight of Hebrews, the writer shared what he and his readers are to do as they are “receiving a kingdom which cannot be moved” where we read:

Wherefore we receiving a kingdom which cannot be moved, let us have grace,
whereby we may serve God acceptably with reverence and godly fear:

The verse begins, “Wherefore we receiving a kingdom which cannot be moved, let us have grace,...”. The writer began with the word, “Wherefore” which means “for which cause, consequently and therefore” “we receiving” or “the writer of Hebrews and his readers taking, accepting and joining themselves as an association or companion” “a kingdom” which means “a royal power, dominion or rule” “which cannot be moved” which means “which is unshaken, unmoved, not liable to overthrow and disorder and is firm and stable”, “let us have grace” or “permit the writer and his reader to hold, possess and own “that which affords joy, pleasure, delight, sweetness, charm and loveliness”. Because the believers in Jesus have “received” the “eternal” unmovable “kingdom”, they should be “holders” and “possessors” of “joy and loveliness”.

The verse continues, “...whereby we may serve God acceptably with reverence and godly fear:”. The writer added the word, “whereby” or “through which the writer and readers of Hebrews minister and perform sacred services, offer gifts and worship God in the observance of the rites instituted for his worship” “we may serve” which means “minister to, render religious service or homage and worship to”“God” which refer to “the Godhead bodily and trinity which is comprised of God the Father, Christ the Son and the Holy Spirit” “acceptably” or “in a manner pleasing to God” “with reverence” which means “containing a sense of shame or honor, modestly, bashfully and with regard and respect to others” “and godly fear” or “with a sense of shame, honor, modesty, bashfulness, reverence and respect for other”. The writer and his readers were able to “serve God” in a “manner pleasing to Him” with “honor” and “respect” because of “grace”.

When we meditate upon these words in Hebrews, we understand the kingdom of God to be an “eternal” and “everlasting” one which allows people to “serve God” with “honor and respect” as He should be. God's Son Jesus Christ gave us access and ability to Him through “grace” as He went before the Heavenly Father as a sacrifice for our sins, and now we may worship Him “acceptably” forever and ever. Let all who read these words know the wonderful “grace” that leads to the “kingdom which cannot be moved”.

Next time the writer shares how “our God is a consuming fire”, so read ahead, and we shall join together then.
