A Fiery Stream Daniel 7:10

In the book of Daniel, Daniel said “I beheld till the thrones were cast down, and the Ancient of days did sit, whose garment was white as snow, and the hair of his head like the pure wool: his throne was like the fiery flame, and his wheels as burning fire”, and in chapter seven and verse ten of his book Daniel said, “a fiery stream issued and came forth from before him” where we read,

A fiery stream issued and came forth from before him: thousand thousands ministered unto him, and ten thousand times ten thousand stood before him: the judgment was set, and the books were opened.

The verse reads, “A fiery stream issued and came forth from before him: thousand thousands ministered unto him, and ten thousand times ten thousand stood before him:” Daniel began with the words, “a fiery stream” or “a burning or pure river” “issued and came forth” which means “flowed and went” “from before him” or “separate and apart from him, the Ancient of days”: “thousand thousands ministered unto him” which means “one thousand times thousands or millions served and gave service to him, the Ancient of days”, “and ten thousand” or “and myriads or ten thousand” “times ten thousand stood before him” which means “multiplied by ten thousand or hundreds of millions arose, raised themselves and were established in front and in the presence of him, the Ancient of days”. Daniel shared how a burning pure river flowed went from the presence of the Ancient of days and millions and hundreds of millions served and were in the presence of Him.

The verse goes on to say, “the judgment was set, and the books were opened.” Daniel continues  the words, “the judgement was set” or “the absolute justice was fixed, established and appointed”, “and the books were opened” which means “and the rolls or scrolls were unsealed”. Daniel shared how the absolute justice of the “Ancient One” was established, and the scrolls or record “books” were unsealed. 

When we think through the words in this verse, we learn through Daniel more about the “Ancient of days” who is Jehovah God. Daniel said a burning pure river proceeded from the Ancient One, and millions upon hundreds of millions who served Him were in His presence. This is a small glimpse into the Heavenly realm, and Daniel was seeing it. God wants all of us to see His wondrous place in heaven, and access is gained when we believe and trust in His Son Jesus who was crucified on the cross for our sins and was raised from the dead after three days. When we surrender to Him, He will forgive our sins, grant us everlasting life and give us the assurance of His Holy Spirit who shall keep us in the faith all the days of our lives until we see Him face to face.
