Ezra 9:8 (KJV) And now
for a little space grace hath been [showed] from the LORD our God, to
leave us a remnant to escape, and to give us a
nail in his holy place, that our God may lighten our
eyes, and give us a little reviving in our bondage.
In Holy Place where God
doth dwell
where none dare enter in
but yet the priest most
high just once
atoning for man's sin
That once per year did he
abye
removing stains bore long
to purify and sanctify
bring peace to all life's
wrong
Still yet no place for
access there
for people to abide
twas bound by God direct
to man
sine's curse to sanctify
But hid within there be a
nail
where stationed soul
confides
that hanging place for
anchored life
where sin be purified
Tis but Christ's cross the
peg in wall
available to gain
by bowing head and humble
heart
belief in God's Son's
reign
This nail in Holy Place to
find
gives rest to all who will
God's promised everlasting
life
forever more revealed
