Three Men at the House - Acts 11:11

The physician Luke wrote how Peter told the Jewish “apostles and believers” in Jerusalem, he saw, “in a trance I saw a vision, A certain vessel descend, as it had been a great sheet, let down from heaven by four corners; and it came even to me: Upon the which when I had fastened mine eyes, I considered, and saw four-footed beasts of the earth, and wild beasts, and creeping things, and fowls of the air. And I heard a voice saying unto me, Arise, Peter; slay and eat. But I said, Not so, Lord: for nothing common or unclean has at any time entered into my mouth. But the voice answered me again from heaven, What God has cleansed, that call not you common. And this was done three times: and all were drawn up again into heaven”, and in chapter eleven and verse eleven of the book of Acts Luke shared how Peter told the Jewish believers, “immediately there were three men already come unto the house where I was” where we read:

And, behold, immediately there were three men already come unto the house where I was,

sent from Caesarea unto me.

The verse begins, “And, behold, immediately there were three men already come unto the house where I was, ... Luke began with the words, “and, behold” which means “and lo, look and consider” “immediately there were three men already come unto the house” or “straightway and forthwith there appeared thee male human beings who arrived at the dwelling place, habitation and abode” “where I was” which means “where I, Peter, was staying”. Luke shared how “Peter” told the Jewish “apostles and believers” how the “three men” “immediately” appeared at the house where he was staying.

The verse continues, “... sent from Caesarea unto me. Luke added the words, “sent from Caesarea unto me” which means “dispatched and assigned from Caesarea of Palestine was built near the Mediterranean by Herod the Great on the site of Strabo's Tower, between Joppa and Dora” “unto me” or “to Peter”. Luke shared how “Peter” told the “apostles and believers” how the “three men” were dispatched from the “city of Caesarea” to him.

When we meditate upon Luke's words in this verse, we see how “Peter” continued to share with the Jewish “apostles and disciples” as he told them the “three men” showed up at his house at the very time the “linen sheet” was drawn back into “heaven”. God's timing is impeccable, and because He desires to have a personal relationship with everyone, He sent His Son Jesus to die on the cross for their sins. He was resurrected from the dead three days later, and now anyone who yields their life to Him will be forgiven of their sins and granted everlasting life with God. Let everyone who reads these words consider the accurate timing of God Almighty and surrender themselves to Him.

Next time Luke shares how Peter told the Jewish believers, the Spirit bade me to go with them, so read ahead, and we shall join together then.

Until tomorrow…there is more…
