Cooties

They're here. They're there. They're everywhere

in places thou canst see

and none can hide and n'er be free

the cooties where they be

Though not one seen yet still they be

surrounding everything

upon each place where thou must be

bare surface do they cling

From childhood play in this and that

no one wants cooties' fact

But girls had cooties boys had too

none kept from cootie act

The potent cooties seek to find

a host to make their home

so rules be made for people's sake

wherever cooties roam

Don't touch this. Don't breathe that.

you must be sure to clean.

For from without the cooties lurk

avoiding man's vaccine

And run alas to distant stance

lest cooties infect all

cause cooties cleave if given chance

and bring men to the pall

So hibernate thus every soul

and keep from cootie scroll

and slosh the jell and wear the mask

keep cooties from thy soul

But then to think what cootie fear

hast brought upon man's pate

to isolate and be alone

embracing cootie fate

And live alone in cootie fear

thus captured by it's power

for thee to late to move again

tis thus thy cootie hour
