Two Moons

Two moons stood before Creative One

to draw an optimum evaluate

Their quest? To which would be of most note

The one fair red the other white

and each to brandish their shine

Within the rounded spheres was ne'r a glow themselves

for their brightness was none but reflect

of closest star with brilliant luminosity

situate on high above anthropomorphic ones

Their illusion drew value from onlookers

so thus became pursuit of contest

and point to superior vantage place

which scaled with state of fame

The first bowed white whose brightened sheen

would hinge upon a circuit of smaller crests

to full account whose light would fill terrain

and last consistent though partial at times

its radiance would be perfect design

Each creative display took turn

with white moon initiate timed

with persistent halo surrounding flashing tip
to full environs with earth aglow

as night turned twas as day

But time wore on with blighted ones below

quite bored with relentless display

ignored, dismissed and snubbed iterate

ingeminate interest bred disregard

and slighted white moon left lone

But alas second charge red moon whose frequency less

would be perhaps but twice in three rounds

but spectacular t'would be its report

and photos would occupy earthborn ones
who'd shoot the sky with great record

And thus for an hour or two or three

red moon took dominance within the sky

and onlookers' flash gained images free

of temporal site in atmosphere's canvas

where abode the blooded sphere

But quickly came the red moon fade

and white moon present supplant

and continued illumine the blackened sky

heedless of flash per red

and gaining title of most famed yet forgotten
