Paul Writing More Boldly Romans 15:15

Paul the apostle told the believers in Rome, “I myself also am persuaded of you, my brethren, that you also are full of goodness, filled with all knowledge, able also to admonish one another”, and in chapter fifteen and verse fifteen of Romans, Paul shared how he had, “written the more boldly unto you in some sort” where we read:

Nevertheless, brethren, I have written the more boldly unto you in some sort,
as putting you in mind, because of the grace that is given to me of God,

The verse begins, “Nevertheless, brethren, I have written the more boldly unto you in some sort, ...” Paul began with the word, “nevertheless” which means “moreover and”, “brethren” or “fellow believers who are fellow believers who are united to one another by the bond of affection”, “I have written” which means “Paul delineated or formed letters on a tablet, parchment, paper or other material” “the more boldly” or “with greater confidence and dare than otherwise” “unto you” which means “toward the believers in Rome” “in some sort” or “in part, a measure, to some degree, severally and individually”. Paul “wrote” specifically to the believers in Rome in a more “bold” and confident way.

The verse continues, “... as putting you in mind, because of the grace that is given to me of God,. Paul added the words, “as putting you in mind” or “recalling and reminding the believers in Rome”, “because” which means “by and through means” “of the grace” or “pertaining to that which affords joy, pleasure, delight, sweetness, charm, loveliness, loving kindness and unmerited favor” “that is given to me” which refers to “which was granted and bestowed upon” “of God” or “pertaining to the Godhead bodily and trinity which is comprised of God the Father, Christ the Son and the Holy Spirit”. Paul “reminded” the believers in Rome of the things which he wrote because of God's “grace” or “unmerited favor” granted to him.

When we consider these words of Paul, we see how he treasured the “grace” of God Almighty, and because Paul received God's “grace” through Jesus Christ, he desired for everyone to be aware of God's “goodness, joy, peace and favor”. Jesus Christ came to die for the sins of the whole world, and those who receive Him as “Savior and Lord” shall know the spiritual benefits of being in a relationship with Him. Let Paul indeed write the “more boldly” for his words are intended for everyone who will simply believe.

Next time Paul tells the believers in Rome how he, “should be the minister of Jesus Christ to the Gentiles”, so read ahead, and we shall join together then.

Until tomorrow…there is more…
