Paul
the apostle told the believers in Rome, “
if the Gentiles have been made partakers of their spiritual things,
their duty is also to minister unto them in carnal things. When
therefore I have performed this, and have sealed to them this fruit,
I will come by you into Spain.”
In
chapter
fifteen and verse twenty-nine of Romans,
Paul told the believers how he would, “come
in the fullness of the blessing of the gospel of Christ” where
we read:
And
I am sure that, when I come unto you,
I
shall come in the fullness of the blessing of the gospel of Christ.
The
verse begins, “And
I am sure that, when I come unto you,
...”
Paul
began with the words, “and
I am sure that” which
means “Paul noticed, attended to, observed, inspected, examined and
beheld”, “when
I come”
or “at the time Paul made his appearance and showed himself”
“unto
you”
which means “toward the believers in Rome”. Paul was certain
about the time when he would “appear” before the believers in
Rome.
The
verse continues, “I
shall come in the fullness of the blessing of the gospel of Christ.”.
Paul added the words, “I
shall come”
which means “Paul would make his appearance and show himself” “in
the fullness”
or “full presence, power, agency and riches of God and of Christ”
“of
the blessing”
which means “pertaining to the praise, laudation and panegyric”
“of
the gospel”
or “pertaining to the good news and glad tidings” “of
Christ”
which pertains to “the anointed One, the Messiah and the Son of
God”. Paul was to make his appearance to the believers in Rome with
all the “praise and laudation” of the “good news” of Jesus
the Messiah.
When
we think through these words of Paul, we see how he was not only to
make his appearance before the believers in Rome, but he was to do so
with “full blessing of the good news” of Jesus Christ. Paul knew
there was no greater treasure than the “gospel”, and when he came
to visit the believers in Rome, he would be equipped with all the
“praise and laudation” it deserves. God Almighty desires to have
a relationship with every person, and He does so through the “good
news” of His Son coming to the earth and dying for the sins of all.
Those who are wise shall receive the “fullness of the blessing
of the gospel of Christ”, and inherit “everlasting life”
when they do.
Next
time
Paul instructs the believers in Rome to,
“strive
together with me in your prayers to God for me”,
so read ahead, and we shall join together then.

tomorrow…there is more…
