In the book of Daniel, Daniel shared how, “one said to the man clothed in linen, which was upon the waters of the river, How long shall it be to the end of these wonders? And I heard the man clothed in linen, which was upon the waters of the river, when he held up his right hand and his left hand unto heaven, and swore by him that lives for ever that it shall be for a time, times, and an half; and when he shall have accomplished to scatter the power of the holy people, all these things shall be finished. And I heard, but I understood not: then said I, O my Lord, what shall be the end of these things?”, and in chapter twelve and verse nine of his book Daniel shared how the male being, “said, Go your way, Daniel”, where we read,
And he said, Go your way, Daniel: for the words are closed up and sealed till the time of the end.
The verse reads, “And he said, Go your way, Daniel:” Daniel began with the words, “and he said” or “and he, the male being on the river, uttered, declared and proclaimed”, “Go your way” which means “depart, proceed and leave upon your, Daniel’s, path”, “Daniel” whose name means “God is my judge”. Daniel shared how the male being upon the river told him to depart.
The verse continues, “for the words are closed up and sealed till the time of the end.” Daniel added the words, “for the words” or “because, since and on account that the utterances, declarations and proclamations” “are closed up” which means “exist as shut up, hidden and in secret” “and sealed” or “and have a seal affixed to them” “till the time of the end” which means “until the season and time period pertaining to the extremity, border and finite process”. Daniel shared how the male being told him the utterances and declarations were secret and affixed with a “seal” until the time period of the finite process.
When we think through the words in this verse, we learn through Daniel how the male being told him to leave because the utterances and declarations spoken to him were to be secret and affixed with a “seal” until the “end times”. God has His timing for all the events of the world, and although Daniel was given this message and prophesy, he was unable to understand. God closed off and kept secret these saying until the time of the end, and it is interesting to note that we are understanding more and more of these things every day. God loves us, and because His plan was to save mankind from their sins. He sent His Son Jesus into the world to die on the cross for the sins of everyone, and when He raised Him from the dead, He made the way for us through belief and trust in Him to be forgiven of our sins, granted everlasting life and equipped with His Holy Spirit to lead and guide us according to His Divine revelation and timing in keeping with His will.
Next time Daniel says, “many shall be purified, and made white, and tried”, so read ahead, and we shall join together then.
