After
all the events of the tribulation period, the millennial reign of
Jesus and the
“Great White Throne”
judgment, John the apostle wrote, “And
I saw a new heaven and a new earth: for the first heaven and the
first earth were passed away; and there was no more sea. And I John
saw the holy city, new Jerusalem, coming down from God out of heaven,
prepared as a bride adorned for her husband.” John
added, “and
I heard a great voice out of heaven saying, Behold, the tabernacle of
God is
with men, and he will dwell with them, and they shall be his people,
and God himself shall be with them, and
be
their God. And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and
there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither
shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away.
And he that sat upon the throne said, Behold, I make all things new.
And he said unto me, Write: for these words are true and faithful.
And he said unto me, It is done. I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning
and the end. I will give unto him that is athirst of the fountain of
the water of life freely”,
and
in
Revelation chapter twenty-one and verse seven John shares how, “he
that overcomes shall inherit all things”
where
we read:
He
that overcomes shall inherit all things; and I will be his God, and
he shall be my son.
The
verse reads, “He
that overcomes shall inherit all things;”
John began with the words, “he
that overcomes”
which means “the person who conquers, prevails and gets the
victory” “shall
inherit”
or “will receive by lot or inheritance and be an heir of” “all
things”
which means “each, every, the whole and everyone of whatsoever has
been and will be”. John heard God say the person who “conquers
and prevails” will be an “heir” of everything.
The
verse goes on to say, “and
I will be his God, and he shall be my son.”
John added the words, “and
I will be”
which means “and God will exist as” “his
God”
which means “that person whether male or female's Deity”, “and
he shall be”
or “and that person whether male or female will exist as” “my
son”
which refers to “God's offspring, descendant and posterity”. In
addition to “inheriting all things”, God has promised to have a
relationship with His believers as His “children” and He is their
“God”.
When
we meditate upon John's words in this verse, we see such great a
precious promises for those who yield their lives to Jesus Christ,
God's Son. Not only are they promised an “everlasting”
relationship with Him, but also are to inherit everything that is
available. Let all who read these words yield their lives to Jesus
and receive.
Next
time
John shares,
“the fearful, unbelieving and”
more
“shall
have their part in the lake which burns with fire and brimstone”,
so read ahead, and we shall join together then.
Until
tomorrow…there is more…
