He has Dispersed Abroad 2 Corinthians 9:9

Paul the apostle told the church members in Corinth, God is able to make all grace abound toward you; that you, always having all sufficiency in all things, may abound to every good work:, and in chapter nine and verse eight of Second Corinthians, Paul quotes an Old Testament verse as he tells the church members how God, has dispersed abroad where we read:

(As it is written, He has dispersed abroad; he has given to the poor:
his righteousness remains for ever.

The verse begins, (As it is written, He has dispersed abroad; Paul began with the words, “as it is written” which means “according and even in the same way it is expressed in written characters”, “He has dispersed abroad” which means “God has scattered, dissipated and dispensed blessings in every direction.”. Paul began to quote Psalm chapter one hundred twelve and verse nine as he described how God directed His blessings everywhere.

The verse goes on to say, “he has given to the poor: his righteousness remains for ever.” Paul added the words, “he has given” or “God has granted, supplied, furnished and delivered” “to the poor” which means “those who are indigent, starving and toil for daily subsistence”: “his righteousness” which refers to “God's state of how a person ought to be and the condition which is acceptable to Him” “remains” or “abides, sojourns and tarries” “for ever” which means “to an unbroken age, perpetuity of time and eternity”. Paul made reference to the way God provides for those stricken with “poverty” because His “right way” of being lasts eternally.

When we think through these words of Paul, we see how God demonstrates His “giving” spirit as He has provided for those who are “indigent and starving” in this world. Through Jesus Christ, God's “grace” or “unmerited favor” extends to every person regardless of their background or culture. The plan of salvation is for all who will believe, and whether they have provisions in this life or not, God desires for His eternal “righteousness” to be within them. God is the supreme example of “giving”, and when we remember how much He has given to us, perhaps we shall be “cheerful” to provide for others.

Next time Paul continues his quote to the church members as he tells them, “he that ministers seed to the sower both minister bread for your food”, so read ahead, and we shall join together then,
