Blessed of the LORD - Psalms 115:15

In Psalms one hundred fifteen the Psalmist said, “The LORD shall increase you more and more, you and your children”, and in chapter one hundred fifteen and verse fifteen of Psalms the Psalmist said, “you are blessed of the LORD” where we read,

You are blessed of the LORD which made heaven and earth.

The verse begins with the words, “You are blessed of the LORD, .... The Psalmist began, “you are blessed” or “you, people who fear Jehovah God, exist as celebrated, saluted and adored” “of the LORD” which means “by means of Jehovah who is the existing One and the proper name for the One True God”. The Psalmist said the people who “fear” Jehovah God exist as celebrated and adored.

The verse continues, “... which made heaven and earth.”. The Psalmist added the words, “which made heaven” or “who fashioned, formed and produced the visible sky, atmosphere and dwelling place of God” “and earth” which means “and country, district, region, territory and world”. The Psalmist said Jehovah God fashioned and formed both the celestial skies and the terrestrial world.

When we consider the Psalmist's words in this verse, we see how he said people who give reverence and awe to Jehovah God exist as celebrated and adored by Him. This same God created the world and the heavens, and He wants to have a personal relationship with everyone. He sent His Son Jesus into the world to be crucified for the sins of all mankind, and when we yield our lives to Him, He will forgive our sins, grant us everlasting life and be celebrated and adored by Him for all eternity.

Next time the Psalmist says, “the heaven, even the heavens, are the LORD'S”, and we shall join together then.

Until tomorrow…there is more…
