Paul
the apostle shared with the church members in Corinth concerning the
time of resurrection and wrote, “every
man in his own order: Christ the first-fruits; afterward they that
are Christ's at his coming”,
and in
chapter fifteen and verse twenty-five of First Corinthians, Paul told
the church members in Corinth concerning Jesus, “for
he must reign”, where
we read:
For he
must reign, till he has put all enemies under his feet.
The
verse begins, “For
he must reign,...” Paul
began with the word, “for” or
“even as, indeed, seeing then, no doubt, verily and therefore”
“he must reign”
which means “it behooves, is in need of and necessary that Jesus be
king, govern and exercise the highest influence and control”. Paul
declared that Jesus must be King and “rule”
on the earth.
The
verse continues, “...till
he has put all enemies under his feet.”
Paul added
the words, “till he has put” which
means “even until Jesus has placed, made, set, fixed and
established” “all enemies”
which means “each, every, the whole and everyone of hated, odious,
hateful, hostile and opposing” “under
his feet”
or “beneath Jesus' feet such as being vanquished”. Jesus shall
reign until such time as all those “opposed” to Him are subdued
beneath Him.
When
we think through these words from Paul, we see how Jesus' “rule and
authority” over the “kingdom of God” will translate to Him
“reigning” upon the Earth. He shall conquer all His “enemies”,
and everyone opposed to Him shall fall. Those who are wise will make
Him “King and ruler” in their own lives now, and may all who read
these words submit their lives to Him.
Next
time Paul shares with
the church members about,
“the last enemy that shall
be destroyed”,
so read ahead, and we shall join together then.
Until tomorrow…there is more…
