God is not the Author of Confusion 1 Corinthians 14:33

Paul the apostle continued to tell the church members in Corinth about the order of “prophesy”, and how, the spirits of the prophets are subject to the prophets. In chapter fourteen and verse thirty-three of First Corinthians Paul declared, God is not the author of confusion”, where we read:

For God is not the author of confusion, but of peace, as in all churches of the saints

The verse begins, For God is not the author of confusion, ...”. Paul began with the word, “For” or “even as, no doubt, seeing then, verily and therefore” “God” which refers to “the Godhead bodily and trinity, which is comprised at God the Father, Christ the Son and the Holy Spirit” “is not the author of confusion” or “of instability, a state of disorder or disturbance”. Paul declared “God” not to instigate or propagate “instability and disorder”.

The verse continues, “... but of peace, as in all churches of the saints” Paul continued with the words, “but” which is a disassociation conjunction that means what is about to be written takes precedence over what was just stated “of peace” or “a state of tranquility, exemption from rage and havoc, harmony, concord, safety, prosperity and felicity”, “as in all” which means “in each, every, the whole and everyone” “churches” or “the assemblies of Christians gathered for worship in a religious meeting” “of the saints” or “of the sacred, pure, morally blameless both religiously and ceremonially”. God rather, according to Paul, was concerned for “harmony, concord and felicity” within every church of believers in Him.

When we consider these words from Paul, we see how “order” was from God rather than “disorder and confusion”. When the “spiritual gifts” were exercised as the Holy Spirit instructed, the result is the “peaceful order” within the church that leads to it's edification. Jesus Christ desires for His church to be at “peace”, and anything that brings “confusion, disorder and instability” is not from Him. May we learn from Paul's words and keep ourselves without “confusion” and in God's way of “peace”.

Next time Paul tells the church members, “let your women keep silence in the churches”, so read ahead, and we shall join together then.
