Satan Transformed into Light 2 Corinthians 11:14

Paul the apostle told the church members in Corinth, are false apostles, deceitful workers, transforming themselves into the apostles of Christ, and in chapter eleven and verse fourteen of Second Corinthians, Paul told the church members,“such are false apostlesand “deceitful workers” where we read:

And no marvel; for Satan himself is transformed into an angel of light.

The verse begins, And no marvel;” Paul began with the words, “and no marvel” which means “no wonder, passing of human comprehension and amazement joined with terror”. Paul did not “wonder or be amazed” at what he is about to declare.

The verse continues, for Satan himself is transformed into an angel of light.” Paul added the words, “for Satan” whose name means “adversary and one who opposes another in purpose or act” and which refers to “the prince of evil spirits and the inveterate adversary of God and Christ” “himself” or “his own self” “is transformed” which means “is changed in the figure of” “into an angel” which refers to “a messenger, envoy and one who is sent,” “of light” or “illumination that is extremely delicate, subtle, pure and brilliant quality”. Paul declared how “Satan” changes himself into a “messenger of light”.

When we meditate upon these words of Paul, we see how he used “Satan” to compare to those who were “false apostles” and “deceitful workers” who were among the church members in Corinth. Though these men posed as “apostles” of God, they were teachers of “false” doctrine like “Satan” is. Jesus Christ desires to have a relationship with everyone, and when they are “deceived” by “false teachers”, it is as though “Satan” himself has taken over their world.

Next time Paul tells the church members how these people are, “transformed as the ministers of righteousness”, so read ahead, and we shall join together then,

Until tomorrow…there is more…
