Suffering Fools Gladly 2 Corinthians 11:19

Paul the apostle instructed the church members in Corinth to, Seeing that many glory after the flesh, I will glory also”, and in chapter eleven and verse nineteen of Second Corinthians, Paul tells the church members,“you suffer fools gladly where we read:

For you suffer fools gladly, seeing you yourselves are wise.

The verse begins, For you suffer fools gladly,...” Paul began with the word, “for” which means “even as, indeed, seeing then, no doubt, verily and therefore” “you suffer” or “the church members hold up, erect, sustain, bear and endure” “fools” which refers to “people who are senseless, without reason, stupid, without reflection or intelligence and acting rashly” “gladly” or “with pleasure”. Paul told the church members they “sustained and bore” people who were “senseless and stupid”.

The verse continues, “... seeing you yourselves are wise.” Paul added the words, “seeing you yourselves” which means “being that the church members themselves” “are wise” which means “are intelligent, prudent and mindful”. Paul facetiously shares how the church members are “intelligent and prudent”.

When we consider these words of Paul, we notice how the church members appeared to be gullible concerning “fools” who were among them. They believed the reports of these “false apostles” and “deceitful workers” more than Paul and his companions. Jesus Christ sent forth His true apostles, and those who believe Him through their witness shall be saved. However, should people receive and believe the “fools”, they shall follow ones and ways that cannot save. Let all who read these words be certain what and whom they believe, and the Bible is the best guide to know the difference.

Next time Paul tells the church members, “Seeing that many glory after the flesh, I will glory also”, so read ahead, and we shall join together then,

Until tomorrow…there is more…
