The Grace of Our Lord Jesus Christ Be with You Revelation 22:21

After sharing much of the beauty of the heavenly city and looking upon the wonders that shall be there, Jesus declared to John the apostle, “Behold, I come quickly: blessed is he that keeps the sayings of the prophecy of this book.” John continued,And I John saw these things, and heard them. And when I had heard and seen, I fell down to worship before the feet of the angel which showed me these things. Then said he unto me, See you do it not: for I am your fellow-servant, and of your brethren the prophets, and of them which keep the sayings of this book: worship God.” John continued, “And he said unto me, Seal not the sayings of the prophecy of this book: for the time is at hand. He that is unjust, let him be unjust still: and he which is filthy, let him be filthy still: and he that is righteous, let him be righteous still: and he that is holy, let him be holy still. And, behold, I come quickly; and my reward is with me, to give every man according as his work shall be. I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end, the first and the last. Blessed are they that do his commandments, that they may have right to the tree of life, and may enter in through the gates into the city. For without are dogs, and sorcerers, and whoremongers, and murderers, and idolaters, and whosoever loves and makes a lie. I Jesus have sent mine angel to testify unto you these things in the churches. I am the root and the offspring of David, and the bright and morning star. And the Spirit and the bride say, Come. And let him that hears say, Come. And let him that is athirst come. And whosoever will, let him take the water of life freely. For I testify unto every man that hears the words of the prophecy of this book, If any man shall add unto these things, God shall add unto him the plagues that are written in this book. And if any man shall take away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God shall take away his part out of the book of life, and out of the holy city, and from the things which are written in this book. He which testifies these things says, Surely I come quickly. Amen. Even so, come, Lord Jesus.” In Revelation chapter twenty-two and verse twenty-one John shares how the angel told him about, “” where we read:

The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you all. Amen.
The verse reads, The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ ... John began with the words, “the grace” which means “that which affords joy, pleasure, delight, sweetness, charm, loveliness and unmerited favor” “of our Lord” which refers to “pertaining to John and all believer's person or thing belongs, about which he has power of deciding; master and the title given to God the Messiah” “Jesus” which means “the Son of God, the Savior of mankind and God incarnate whose name means Jehovah is Salvation” “Christ” which refers to “the anointed One, the Messiah and Son of God”. John's benediction was for “Jesus Christ our Lord's” “unmerited favor”.

The verse continues, “... be with you all. Amen. John continued with the words, “be with” which means “accompany and occupy an intermediate position between” “you all” which means “each, every, the whole and everyone”. “Amen” which means “let it be, so be it and may it be fulfilled”. John's final words, and the final words of the Bible, was for Jesus' “grace” to be with everyone, and he confirmed it with the words which means “let it be so”.

When we consider John's words in this verse, we notice one final time that God's “grace” is extended to every person. God desires to share His “unmerited favor” with every person through Jesus Christ His Son, and all who submit their lives to Him shall live forever and ever with God. May all who study the teachings in this book receive Jesus Christ as their personal “Savior and Lord” before these things come to pass.

Next time we begin a study through the gospel of Matthew, so read ahead, and we shall join together then.
