The Lamb's Wife Revelation 21:9

After all the events of the tribulation period, the millennial reign of Jesus and the “Great White Throne” judgment, John the apostle wrote, “And I saw a new heaven and a new earth: for the first heaven and the first earth were passed away; and there was no more sea. And I John saw the holy city, new Jerusalem, coming down from God out of heaven, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband.” John added, “and I heard a great voice out of heaven saying, Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men, and he will dwell with them, and they shall be his people, and God himself shall be with them, and be their God. And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away. And he that sat upon the throne said, Behold, I make all things new. And he said unto me, Write: for these words are true and faithful. And he said unto me, It is done. I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end. I will give unto him that is athirst of the fountain of the water of life freely. He that overcomes shall inherit all things; and I will be his God, and he shall be my son. But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burns with fire and brimstone: which is the second death”, and in Revelation chapter twenty-one and verse nine John shares about, “the Lamb's wife” where we read:

And there came unto me one of the seven angels which had the seven vials full of the seven last plagues, and talked with me, saying, Come here, I will show thee the bride, the Lamb's wife.
The verse reads, “And there came unto me one of the seven angels which had the seven vials full of the seven last plagues, ... John began with the words, “and there came” which means “there arose, appeared and became known” “unto me” or “to John”, “one of the seven angels” which means “a certain one of the seven messengers, envoys and ones sent” “which had” or “who possessed” “the seven vials” which refers to “the seven shallow bowls”, “full” which means “swollen and filled” “of the seven last plagues” or “with the seven latter, uttermost and extreme blows, wounds and heavy afflictions”. One of the “seven angels” who held the “seven shallow bowls” which contained “heavy afflictions” appeared unto John.

The verse continues, “... and talked with me, saying, Come here, I will show you the bride, the Lamb's wife.” John added the words, “and talked” which means “and uttered and emitted a voice or sound of articulated words” “with me” which means “alongside John”, “saying” or “uttering, declaring and proclaiming” “Come here” which means “advance toward the place where the angel was”, “I will show you” or “the angel would expose” “the bride” which means “the betrothed woman who was to be married and is the church”, “The Lamb's” or “the little lamb's which represents Jesus” “wife” which refers to “Jesus bride”. John was told by the “angel” to “come” where he was, and the angel would “reveal” Jesus Christ's “bride” to him.

When we consider John's words in this verse, we see how this “angel” was given the responsibility to disclose the “bride” of Christ to John. What a glorious sight this must have been for John as he was granted the privilege to be shown this “bride” in advance of the marriage. Jesus Christ's “bride” is the church, and those who have submitted their lives to Him become a part of His “bride”. God desires for everyone to be “married” to His Son, and only those who reject His offer will never know what this wonderful gift shall be.

Next time John shares how he saw, “the great city, the holy Jerusalem,, so read ahead, and we shall join together then.
