Seven Angels with Seven Last Plagues Revelation 15:1

As John continued to share concerning the events during the tribulation, He wrote about the antichrist, the false prophets and angels who were involved in the reaping of the harvest of both believers and unbelievers in the Lord Jesus during that time. In chapter fifteen and verse one of Revelation John saw, “another sign in heaven, great and marvelous” which included “seven angels having the seven last plagues” where we read:

And I saw another sign in heaven, great and marvelous, seven angels having the seven last plagues; for in them is filled up the wrath of God.

The verse reads, And I saw another sign in heaven, great and marvelous, seven angels having the seven last plagues;” John began with the words, “and I saw” which means “and John perceived, noticed, discerned and discovered” “another sign” or “one other mark or token” “in heaven” which means “within the region above the sidereal heavens, the seat of order of things eternal and consummately perfect where God dwells and other heavenly beings”, “great” or “large, massive and abundant” “and marvelous” which means “wonderful, admirable and excellent”, “seven angels” or “seven messengers, envoys or ones sent” “having” which means “holding, owning and possessing” “the seven last plagues” which refers to “the seven final, complete, and extreme blows, public calamities and heavy afflictions”. John watched as there appeared “another” “massive and wonderful” “mark or token” coming from “heaven” that included “seven messengers” who held the final “seven” “heavy afflictions” that were to come upon the earth.

The verse goes on to say “for in them is filled up the wrath of God.John continued with the word, “for” which means “since, because and even as” “in them” or “in the seven last plagues”, “is filled up” or “is closed, finished, passed, executed and fulfilled” “the wrath” which means “the passion, anger, heat, glow, ardor and inflaming fierceness and indignation” “of God” which refers to “the Godhead bodily and trinity which is comprised of God the Father, Christ the Son and the Holy Spirit”. John shared how the “seven final plagues” completed the “inflaming indignation” of God.

When we think through John's words in this verse, we see this ominous warning concerning the “seven angels” with the final “seven plagues” which were to come upon the earth. God's “wrath” was to be poured out, and these “seven angels” were charged to execute it. God has provided an opportunity to have a relationship with Him through His Son Jesus, and those who receive Him as their personal “Savior and Lord” shall avoid these “final plagues”. Those who are alive and do not accept Him shall suffer the full extent of God's “fiery indignation”, and woe be to those who experience these things.

Next time John sees, a sea of glass mingled with fire”, so read ahead, and we shall join together then.
