Multiplied Days - Proverbs 9:11

In the book of Proverbs Solomon said, “The fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom: and the knowledge of the holy is understanding”, and in chapter nine and verse eleven of Proverbs Solomon said, “for by me your days shall be multiplied” where we read,

For by me your days shall be multiplied, and the years of your life shall be increased.

The verse begins, “For by me your days shall be multiplied, ...” Solomon began with the words, “for by me” or “because, since and on account that through means of me, wisdom” “your days” which means “your, those reading and listening to wisdom's, sunrises to sunsets” “shall be multiplied” or “will exist as abundant, great and numerous”. Solomon shared how the time a person who follows God's “wisdom” shall be made abundant and numerous.

The verse goes on to say, “... and the years of your life shall be increased.” Solomon continued with the words, “and the years” or “and the division of time known as years” “of your life” which means “belonging to your, the people listening to and reading wisdom's words', active living which is fresh and reviving” “shall be increased” or “will exist as added, joined to and more”. Solomon said the lifetime of the person who follows the “wisdom” of Jehovah God shall be extended.

When we think through the words in this verse, we learn through Solomon how a person's lifetime may be extended when they hear and obey the “wisdom” of Jehovah God. God wants us to live before Him in a personal relationship through His Son Jesus who died on the cross for our sins. When we humble ourselves and surrender to Him, He will forgive our sins, grant us everlasting life and enjoy our “years” on earth within the presence of the Almighty and “wise” God.

Next time Solomon says, “if your are wise, you shall be wise for yourself”, so read ahead, and we shall join together then.
