After
the worship scene in heaven where “the
Lamb”
of God received the “scroll” in God's right hand, the beginning
of the tribulation came upon the earth began as John the apostle saw
the first, second, third, fourth, fifth and the sixth seals of the
“scroll” opened by Jesus, and he wrote, “
there was a great earthquake; and the sun became black as sackcloth
of hair, and the moon became as blood;”,
and in chapter six and verse thirteen of Revelation John shared how
“the
stars of heaven fell unto the earth” where
we read:
And
the stars of heaven fell unto the earth, even as a fig tree casts her
untimely figs,
when
she is shaken of a mighty wind.
The
verse reads, “And
the stars of heaven fell unto the earth, even as a fig tree casts her
untimely figs, ...” John
began with the words, “and
the stars”
which means “the stars as strewn over the sky” “of
heaven” which
means “the vaulted expanse of the sky with all things visible in
it” “fell” or
“descended from a higher place to a lower” “unto
the earth”
which means “toward the arable land, country, territory or region”,
“even as a fig tree”
or “like and in the same way as a tree with figs” “casts”
which means “throws, scatters and pours out”
“her untimely figs”
or “the fig trees' unripe fruit”. John saw the “stars”
in the heavens falling upon the “earth”
like a “fig tree”
drops it's unripe fruit.
The
verse continues, “... when
she is shaken of a mighty wind.” John
added the word, “when”
which means “at the present time and moment” “she
is shaken”
or “the fig tree throws, scatters and pours out”“of
a mighty wind”
or “pertaining to a large, abundant and tempestuous stream of air”.
The “stars
of heaven” were
falling like “figs”
being thrown from their “trees” when “mighty winds” blow upon
them.
When
we think through John's words in this verse, we see the cataclysmic
display of the “stars” falling from heaven toward the
earth. Meteors and space debris are crashing upon the world as though
they were thrust by a “mighty force” like a wind blowing through
a fruit tree. The times John describes are horrific upon the earth,
and those who reside in the world at that time shall suffer great
devastation. God desires to save people through His Son Jesus from
this horrific time, and though the “stars” are destined to
fall with a mighty force, they may be avoided by simply putting
“faith and trust” in Jesus Christ. May all who read these words
“take heed”.
Next
time
John shares how he saw, “the
heaven departed like a scroll”,
so read ahead, and we shall join together then.

tomorrow…there is more…
