The Second Seal Revelation 6:3

After the worship scene in heaven where “the Lamb” of God received the “scroll” in God's right hand, John the apostle “saw when the Lamb opened one of the seals, and I heard, as it were the noise of thunder, one of the four beasts saying, Come and see. And I saw, and behold a white horse: and he that sat on him had a bow; and a crown was given unto him: and he went forth conquering, and to conquer”, and in chapter six and verse three of Revelation John shared how the “second seal” was “opened” and “the second beast” said “Come and see” where we read:

And when he had opened the second seal, I heard the second beast say, Come and see.

The verse reads, “And when he had opened the second seal, ...” John began with the words, “and when he” which means “at the time and moment Jesus” “had opened” which means “had unfastened and loosed” “the second seal” or “the second signet seal which was upon the scroll”. John watched as Jesus “unfastened” the “second seal” from the “book” or “title deed to the earth” that was in God's right hand.

The verse goes on to say, “... I heard the second beast say, Come and see.” John added the words, “I heard” which means “John was endowed with the faculty of hearing, was attentive to, considered and understood” “the second beast” which refers to “the second one of the four living being that surrounded God's throne” “say” or “utter, declare and proclaim”, “Come” which means “make appearance, arise, show yourself and be established” “and see” or “perceive, notice, discern, discover and observe”. John “heard” this “second living being” declaring and desiring for him to “come” and “observe”.

When we meditate upon John's words in this verse, we notice how the “second living being” that surrounded God's throne was assigned to this “second seal”. John's instruction was the same – to “come and see”. God has an order that is being unleashed upon the world who rejected His Son Jesus as “Savior and Lord”, and each time a “seal” is unfastened by Him, there are great effects from it. God desires to have a relationship with people before this time of “tribulation” comes, and those who are wise shall read these words and do as John did - “Come and see” before these things come upon them.
