Twelve Thousand from Zabulon, Joseph and Benjamin Revelation 7:8

After the worship scene in heaven where “the Lamb” of God received the “scroll” in God's right hand, the beginning of the tribulation to come upon the earth began and John the apostle saw the first, second, third, fourth, fifth and the sixth seals were opened and great troubles came upon the earth with each of them. He saw the He continued, And I saw another angel ascending from the east, having the seal of the living God: and he cried with a loud voice to the four angels, to whom it was given to hurt the earth and the sea, Saying, Hurt not the earth, neither the sea, nor the trees, till we have sealed the servants of our God in their foreheads. And I heard the number of them which were sealed: and there were sealed an hundred and forty and four thousand of all the tribes of the children of Israel.” John saw, “Of the tribe of Judah were sealed twelve thousand. Of the tribe of Reuben were sealed twelve thousand. Of the tribe of Gad were sealed twelve thousand. Of the tribe of Asher were sealed twelve thousand. Of the tribe of Nepthalim were sealed twelve thousand. Of the tribe of Manasseh were sealed twelve thousand. Of the tribe of Simeon were sealed twelve thousand. Of the tribe of Levi were sealed twelve thousand. Of the tribe of Issachar were sealed twelve thousand.”, and in chapter seven and verse eight of Revelation John saw “twelve thousand” from “the tribes of Simeon, Levi and Issachar” where we read:

Of the tribe of Zabulon were sealed twelve thousand. Of the tribe of Joseph were sealed twelve thousand. Of the tribe of Benjamin were sealed twelve thousand.

The verse reads, Of the tribe of Zabulon were sealed twelve thousand. Of the tribe of Joseph were sealed twelve thousand. John began with the words, “of the tribe” which means “from the nation and people“of Zabulon” which means “a habitation” and was “the tenth of the sons of Jacob” “were sealed” or “set a mark upon by the impress of a seal or stamp“twelve thousand” which means “two and ten thousand people”. “Of the tribe” which means “from the nation and people“of Joseph” which means “let him add” and was “the eleventh son of Jacob” “were sealed” or “set a mark upon by the impress of a seal or stamp“twelve thousand” which means “two and ten thousand people”. John saw “twelve thousand people” within the tribes of “Zabulon and Joseph” “marked” with God's “signet seal”.

The verse goes on to say, “Of the tribe of Benjamin were sealed twelve thousand.” John added the words, “of the tribe” which means “from the nation and people” “of Benjamin” which means “son of the right hand or son of good fortune” and was “the twelfth son of Jacob” “were sealed” which refers to “set a mark upon by the impress of a seal or stamp” “twelve thousand” or “two and ten thousand people”. John also saw “twelve thousand people” from the “tribe of Benjamin” “marked” with God's “signet seal”.

When we think through John's words in this verse, we see “twelve thousand people” from the final three “tribes of Israel” “marked” with the “signet seal” of God. God Himself has chosen who these people will be, and they will be from the “twelve tribes of Israel”. These “one hundred and forty four thousand” people will be preserved by God, and they will be used by Him as witnesses throughout the world. God desires for people to be “saved” and “preserved” from the destruction that will come upon the earth in the “tribulation” period, and this is only available through Jesus Christ who is the “Savior of the World”.

Next time we John sees, “a great multitude, which no man could number”, so read ahead, and we shall join together then.
