My Praise Shall be of Jehovah - Psalms 22:25

In Psalms chapter twenty-two David said, “You that fear the LORD, praise him; all you the seed of Jacob, glorify him; and fear him, all you the seed of Israel. For he has not despised nor abhorred the affliction of the afflicted; neither has he hid his face from him; but when he cried unto him, he heard, and in chapter twenty two and verse twenty-five of Psalms David said, “my praise shall be of you in the great congregation” where we read,

My praise shall be of you in the great congregation: I will pay my vows before them that fear him.

The verse begins, My praise shall be of you in the great congregation:” David began with the words, “my praise” which means “my, David's, song or hymn of adoration, thanksgiving, fame and glory” “shall be of you” or “will exist as pertaining to you Jehovah God” “in the great congregation” which means “within the abounding, numerous and abundant assembly, company and congregation”. David said he would render his song of adoration of Jehovah God in the abounding assembly of people.

The verse goes on to say,I will pay my vows before them that fear him.” David continued with the words, “I will pay my vows” or “I, David, shall complete, finish and make whole my, David's, votive offering and promise to God” “before them that fear him” which means “in front and in the presence of the people who morally are afraid, reverent and in awe of him, Jehovah God”. David declared that he would complete his promises to God in the presence of the people who are in awe and give reverence to Him.

When we consider the words in this verse, we see how David shared how He would give honor and glory to Jehovah God in front of an abundant number of people who gather, and he would keep his promises to God in the presence of everyone who is in awe and reverent to Jehovah. David loved Jehovah God, and Jehovah God loved David. God desires this type of eternal relationship with every person, and He made this possible when He sent His Son into the world to die for our sins which separated us from Him. When we believe and trust in Jesus, He will forgive our sins and grant us everlasting life with Him. Let God be praised with a song of adoration before all people for His wonderful benefits toward us which allow us to “pay our vows” before others who reverence Him.

Next time David says, “the meek shall eat and be satisfied, so read ahead, and we shall join together then.
