My Eyes are Toward the LORD - Psalms 25:15

In Psalms chapter twenty-five David said,The secret of the LORD is with them that fear him; and he will show them his covenant”, and in chapter twenty five and verse fifteen of Psalms David said, “My eyes are ever toward the LORD” where we read,

My eyes are ever toward the LORD; for he shall pluck my feet out of the net.

The verse begins, My eyes are ever toward the LORD;” David began with the words, “My eyes” which means “my, David's, physical and spiritual eyes, look, gaze and stare” “are ever toward the LORD” or “exist as continually, perpetually and always in regard to and in reverence to Jehovah who is the existing One and the proper name for the One True God”. David said his physical and spiritual eyes are constantly looking to Jehovah God.

The verse continues, for he shall pluck my feet out of the net.” David added the words, “for he shall pluck my feet” or “because, since and on account that he, Jehovah God will deliver, bring forth, liberate and lead my, David's physical feet” “out of the net” which means “as set free from a trap or snare”. David wrote how Jehovah God would rescue and deliver his “physical feet” from the snare and trap that was set before him.

When we meditate upon the words in this verse, we learn how David kept his focus upon Jehovah God, and whenever he was caught in a snare or trap, Jehovah God would deliver and rescue him. God loved David, and He took care of Him. David was wise to keep his “eyes” upon “the LORD”, and He blessed David even to the point of rescuing Him when he was caught in a trap. God loves people, and He desires to have a personal relationship with them through His Son Jesus. When we submit to Jesus, we in effect put our “eyes” upon Him, and having done so, He will watch over, guide and lead us every day of our lives. God, who sent Jesus to rescue and deliver us from sin, will keep watch over us and rescue us when we fall into troubles while we keep our focus upon Him.

Next time David says, “Turn you unto me, and have mercy upon me, so read ahead, and we shall join together then.
