In Psalms chapter twenty-five David said, “All the paths of the LORD are mercy and truth unto such as keep his covenant and his testimonies. For your name's sake, O LORD, pardon my iniquity; for it is great”, and in chapter twenty five and verse twelve of Psalms David asked, “What man is he that fears the LORD?” where we read,
What man is he that fears the LORD? him shall he teach in the way that he shall choose.
The verse begins, “What man is he that fears the LORD?” David began with the words, “What man is he” which means “who is that person whether male or female” “that fears the LORD” or “who reveres, is in awe and afraid of Jehovah who is the existing One and the proper name for the One True God”? David asked who the person is that reverences and is in awe of Jehovah God.
The verse goes on to say, “him shall he teach in the way that he shall choose.” David continued with the words, “him shall he teach” or “the person that reverences and is in awe of Jehovah God will he, Jehovah God, instruct, guide and direct” “in the way” which means “within the traveled road, pathway, course and manner” “that he shall choose” or “that he, Jehovah God, will select and decide”. David wrote how Jehovah God would instruct and guide the person who reverences Him within the course and manner that He selects and chooses.
When we meditate upon the words in this verse, we see how David questioned who the person was that gave reverence, honor and awe to Jehovah God because that person will be instructed in the course and manner that Jehovah Himself has for them. Many of us wonder, what is God's will or path for my life?, and when we humble ourselves, reverence and give honor to Him, He will instruct us according to His will and path. God loves us, and He desires to have a personal relationship with us through His Son Jesus. When we submit to Him, He becomes not only our “Savior”, but also our “Lord”. He leads us by His Holy Spirit according to His divine path for our lives. As we follow Him, we shall give Him praise and honor for all eternity for leading us in the best course for the life He has provided for us.
Next time David says, “His soul shall dwell at ease”, so read ahead, and we shall join together then.
Until tomorrow…there is more…
