In Psalms chapter twenty-four David asked, “Who shall ascend into the hill of the LORD? or who shall stand in his holy place? He that has clean hands, and a pure heart; who has not lifted up his soul unto vanity, nor sworn deceitfully”, and in chapter twenty four and verse five of Psalms David said, “He shall receive the blessing from the LORD” where we read,
He shall receive the blessing from the LORD, and righteousness from the God of his salvation.
The verse begins, “He shall receive the blessing from the LORD, ...” David began with the words, “He shall receive” which means “the person whether male or female who has clean hands and a pure heart will lift, bear up, carry, support and sustain” “the blessing” or “the gift, favor, present and benediction” “from the LORD” which means “by Jehovah who is the existing One and the proper name of the One True God”. David said the person who “has clean hands and a pure heart” will gain the “favor” of Jehovah God.
The verse continues, “... and righteousness from the God of his salvation.” David added the words, “and righteousness” or “and justice, truthfulness, justification and salvation” “from the God” which means “by the Divine judge, ruler and Supreme God” “of his salvation” or “pertaining to Jehovah God's rescue, deliverance, safety and welfare”. David wrote how the person who has “clean hands and a pure heart” will also gain “justice, truthfulness and salvation” from the Supreme God who liberates and frees him.
When we meditate upon the words in this verse, we learn from David how people “receive” Jehovah God's favor, gifts and justice. They come from the Supreme God who provides deliverance and welfare to them. God loves people, and His desire is to have a personal relationship with every person through His Son Jesus. When we accept Jesus as our “Savior and Lord”, He will forgive us of our sins and grant us everlasting life with God. He blesses us, and the rightness and justice of God's salvation becomes available to us. Let Jehovah God be praised for His blessings, favor and righteousness that are offered to everyone who surrenders their life to Jesus Christ.
Next time David said, “This is the generation of them that seek him”, so read ahead, and we shall join together then.
