In Psalms chapter twenty-five David said, “Good and upright is the LORD: therefore will he teach sinners in the way. The meek will he guide in judgment: and the meek will he teach his way”, and in chapter twenty five and verse ten of Psalms David said, “All the paths of the LORD are mercy and truth” where we read,
All the paths of the LORD are mercy and truth unto such as keep his covenant and his testimonies.
The verse begins, “All the paths of the LORD are mercy and truth ...” David began with the words, “All the paths” which means “each, every, the whole and everyone of the well-trodden roads, manners, races, ranks and travel ways” “of the LORD” or “belonging to Jehovah who is the existing One and the proper name for the One True God” “are mercy” which means “exist as goodness, kindness and faithfulness” “and truth” or “and firmness, sureness, reliability and stability”. David proclaimed each and every traveled way belonging to Jehovah God exist as goodness, kindness, faithfulness, sureness, reliability and stability.
The verse goes on to say, “... unto such as keep his covenant and his testimonies.” David continued with the words, “unto such as keep” or “toward the people who guard, watch over and preserve” “his covenant” which means “his, Jehovah God's, alliance, pledge, treaty, constitution, ordinance and agreement” “and his testimonies” or “and his, Jehovah God's, witness”. David said every “travelled road” belonging to Jehovah God provides “mercy and truth” for the people who guard and preserve His treaty, constitution and witness.
When we think through the words in this verse, we learn how David proclaimed Jehovah God's courses and travelled roads to be filled with His “mercy and truth” for every person who observes and watches over His ordinances and witness. God blesses people who “keep” His law and witness with “mercy and truth” because they prioritize His way rather than their own. God loves us, and His desire is to have a personal relationship with us as we surrender to His Son Jesus. When we yield to Him, He will forgive our sins and grant us everlasting life with Him. We shall praise and honor Jehovah God throughout the ages for His wonderful “mercy and truth” because we have kept Him and the priority of our lives.
Next time David says, “For your name's sake, O LORD, pardon my iniquity”, so read ahead, and we shall join together then.
Until tomorrow…there is more…
