In Psalms chapter twenty-two David said, “The meek shall eat and be satisfied: they shall praise the LORD that seek him: your heart shall live for ever. All the ends of the world shall remember and turn unto the LORD: and all the kindreds of the nations shall worship before you”, and in chapter twenty two and verse twenty-eight of Psalms David said, “the kingdom is the LORD'S” where we read,
For the kingdom is the LORD'S: and he is the governor among the nations.
The verse begins, “For the kingdom is the LORD'S:” David began with the words, “For the kingdom” which means “because, since and on account that the royal rule, kingship and royalty” “is the LORD'S” or “exists as Jehovah's who is the existing One and the proper name of the One True God”. David declared the “royal rule and kingship” to be Jehovah God's.
The verse continues, “and he is the governor among the nations.” David added the words, “and he is the governor” or “and he, Jehovah God, exists and the rule, dominion and reign” “among the nations” which means “within the descendants of Abraham, the non-Hebrew people and heathens”. David wrote how Jehovah God rules and reigns within the realms of all the people of the world both believers and non-believers alike.
When we consider the words in this verse, we learn how David acknowledged the “royal rule” of Jehovah God throughout the entire earth. Whether people trust in Him or not does not affect His sovereignty and absolute rule in the world. All people will eventually bow before Him and proclaim that He is Lord, and because He sent His Son Jesus into the world to die on the cross for our sins, we have an opportunity now to receive Him as our “Savior and Lord”. If we choose to accept Him, we will be saved, but should we refuse and reject Him, one day we will bow before Him anyway and proclaim that Jesus is indeed both Lord and Christ.
Next time David says, “all they that are fat upon the earth shall eat and worship”, so read ahead, and we shall join together then.
Until tomorrow…there is more…
