Jesus and Us Raised 2 Corinthians 4:14

Paul the apostle shared with the church members in Corinth how he and his companions, “we having the same spirit of faith”, and he added, “and therefore have I spoken; we also believe, and therefore speak”. In chapter four and verse fourteen of Second Corinthians, Paul told the church members, “having the same spirit of faith”, where we read:

Knowing that he which raised up the Lord Jesus
shall raise up us also by Jesus, and shall present us with you.

The verse begins, “Knowing that he which raised up the Lord Jesus shall raise up us also by Jesus, ...” Paul began with the word, “knowing” which means “seeing, perceiving, noticing, discerning and discovering” “that he which raised up” or “that God who arose, caused to rise, produce and appear” “the Lord” which means “he to whom a person or thing belongs, about which he has power of deciding; master and the title given to God the Messiah” “Jesus” whose name means “Jehovah is Salvation” and is “the Son of God, the Savior of the world and” “shall raise up us” which means “will arouse, cause to rise, produce and appear Paul, his companions and the church members” “also” or “even so and indeed” “by Jesus” which means “through the Son of God”. Paul and his companions “knew” since God raised Jesus from the dead, He would also “raise up” those who believe in Him as well.

The verse goes on to say, “... and shall present us with you. Paul added the words, “and shall present us” which means “and will set us at hand, proffer, provide or show” “with you” which refers to “the church members”. Paul declared Jesus would “provide and show” he and his companions along with the church members in Corinth.

When we consider these words of Paul, we see how he depended upon the fact that God “raised” Jesus from the grave, and this was all the proof he needed to conclude that God would do the same with those who believe in Him. Jesus desires to “save” people from “eternal separation” or “spiritual death” from Him, and when we believe in His sacrifice for our sins, we shall be “resurrected” from the dead and presented with other who also believed in Him. Let all who read these words know and understand.

Next time Paul declares to the church members what, “all things are for your sakes”, so read ahead, and we shall join together then,

Until tomorrow…there is more…
