Trust Through Christ 2 Corinthians 3:4

Paul the apostle told the church members in Corinth, Forasmuch as you are manifestly declared to be the epistle of Christ ministered by us, written not with ink, but with the Spirit of the living God; not in tables of stone, but in fleshy tables of the heart, and in chapter three and verse four of Second Corinthians, Paul told the church members,“such trust have we through Christ”, where we read:

And such trust have we through Christ to God-ward:

The verse begins, “And such trust ...” Paul began with the words, “And such” which means “this kind or sort of” “trust” or “confidence and reliance”. Paul referred to the “confidence” he and his companions had in “the Spirit of the living God” who wrote upon their “fleshly hearts” and made them “epistles of Christ”.

The verse goes on to say, “... have we through Christ to God-ward: Paul added the words, “have we” which means “Paul and his companions had this confidence” “through Christ” or “with, by reason of and on account of the anointed One, the Messiah and Son of God” “to God-ward” which means “toward the Godhead bodily and trinity which is comprised of God the Father, Christ the Son and the Holy Spirit”. Paul was able to secure such “confidence and faith” toward “God “ because of Jesus Christ.

When we think through these words of Paul, we see how he attributed his “faith and confidence” toward God “by Jesus Christ”. This is the origin of true faith, and those who give their lives to Him shall know when “the Spirit of the living God” writes upon their “hearts”. God is able to change and alter a person when they simply believe in His provision for their sins through His Son Jesus, and from that time on they become His “epistles” to the world that Jesus Saves.

Next time Paul tells the church members, “Not that we are sufficient of ourselves...but our sufficiency is of God”, so read ahead, and we shall join together then,

Until tomorrow…there is more…
