Jesus the Minister of the Circumcision Romans 15:8

Paul the apostle instructed the believers in Rome to, “receive one another, as Christ also received us to the glory of God”, and in chapter fifteen and verse eight of Romans, Paul told the believers, “Jesus Christ was a minister of the circumcision for the truth of God” where we read:

Now I say that Jesus Christ was a minister of the circumcision for the truth of God,
to confirm the promises made unto the fathers:

The verse begins, “Now I say that Jesus Christ was a minister of the circumcision for the truth of God, ...” Paul began with the word, “now” which means “at this present time and moment” “I say” or “Paul uttered, spoke, proclaimed and declared” “that Jesus” whose name means “Jehovah is Salvation” and is “the Son of God, the Savior of mankind and God incarnate ” “a minister” or “one who executes the commands of another as a servant and attendant” “of the circumcision” which refers to “pertaining to the Jews” “of the truth” which means “pertaining to what is true, reality, fact and certain” “of God” which pertains to “the Godhead bodily and trinity which is comprised of God the Father, Christ the Son and the Holy Spirit”. Paul declared “Jesus Christ” to be the “servant” of the “Jews” on behalf of “God's truth”.

The verse goes on to say, “... to confirm the promises made unto the fathers:Paul continued with the words, “to confirm” which means “to make firm, establish and make sure” “the promises” or “the divine assurance of good” “made unto the fathers” which means “given and granted toward the male ancestors, founders and progenitors of a people”. Paul shared how Jesus came to “make firm” the “promises” which were given to the “fore-fathers”

When we meditate upon these words of Paul, we see how “Jesus Christ” was sent to the Jews with “God's truth” so that He might “make firm” “the divine assurance of good” which was given to their fore-fathers. Jesus' purpose was to “save” people from their sins, and this first came to the “Jews” and later to the “Gentiles”. God desires everyone to be “saved”, and He sent His Son Jesus to die for all their sins. Jesus rose from the dead after three days, and now offers “salvation” to everyone who “receives” Him as “Savior and Lord”. May everybody who reads these words know and “receive” “the truth of God” and His “confirmation” which was made to the fore-fathers of Israel.

Next time Paul tells the believers in Rome, “that the Gentiles might glorify God for his mercy”, so read ahead, and we shall join together then.
