The God of Peace Be With You Romans 15:33

Paul the apostle told the believers in Rome he desired to come to them, “ with joy by the will of God, and may with you be refreshed”, and in chapter fifteen and verse thirty-three of Romans, Paul told the believers, “the God of peace be with you all” where we read:
Now the God of peace be with you all. Amen.

The verse begins, Now the God of peace be with you all. Paul began with the word, “now” which means “at this present time and moment” “the God” or “the Godhead bodily and trinity which is comprised of God the Father, Christ the Son and the Holy Spirit” “of peace” which means “tranquility, harmony, concord, security, safety, prosperity and felicity” “be with you all” or “exist among each, every, the whole and everyone of the believers in Rome”. Paul desired for God's “tranquility, harmony and concord” be with everyone of the believers in Rome.

The verse goes on to say, “Amen. Paul continued with the word, “amen” which means “surely, truly, so it is, so be it and may it be fulfilled”. Paul stamped his desire for “God's peace” to be upon the believers in Rome with the word “amen” as he concluded “let it be so”.

When we consider these words of Paul, we see how “God's peace” upon the believers in Rome was important to him. His concluding prayer for the believers in Rome in this chapter was that “tranquility, harmony and concord” would be upon them. “God's peace” comes as the result of a relationship with God through Jesus Christ His Son, and those who desire “peace” should receive Jesus into their hearts and know the “tranquility” of God when they do.

Next time we begin the final chapter of Romans and see Paul tell the believers in Rome,I commend unto you Phebe our sister, so read ahead, and we shall join together then.
